KING'S WARRIOR was a useful performer on the flat who was always at his best with give underfoot and he has been far from disgraced in two outings over hurdles so far. He looks to be getting the hang of things now and could be worth chancing to see off the likely challenge of Attwaal, who stayed on for a good fourth in a competitive Doncaster novices' hurdle over an extended 2m. Saint John Henry cost 52,000 euros and warrants the utmost respect on his racecourse debut for David Pipe, especially if popular in the betting.

This is not straightforward despite the lack of runners. Little Jimmy bumped into a blot on the handicap when runner-up at Catterick over 2m and could improve over further, but that has to be taken on trust and a safer option is RATIFY. Dai Burchell's 10-year-old, who has winning form over 3m2f, wasn't far away from landing a 2m3f double at Uttoxeter when last seen in December and this certainly doesn't look any tougher. Chapel House continues slide down the ratings and could be ready to strike soon, but Silver Steel appears to have a bit to find.

Embsay Crag showed plenty of heart when scoring over 2m4f at Wetherby latest, but only got home by a head and looks vulnerable off 7lb higher. Perhaps better treated is handicap debutant THOMAS JUNIOR, who has shown ability and is very interesting now upped in trip off an opening mark of 108. Zakatal ran a big race off 2lb higher in a decent event at Doncaster in November and is fit from a spin on the Flat.

Rydalis enjoyed a much deserved change of luck when landing a 2m5f event at Leicester last month, but he didn't get home over 3m when touched off the time before and looks opposable off 7lb higher now back up in trip. CHAPOLIMOSS was doing his best work at the finish when beaten just two lengths in the mud over this C&D latest and gets the nod off the same mark today. Frontier Spirit should appreciate the step back up in trip and completes the shortlist.

SCOTSBROOK LEGEND is up 11lb for bolting up at Leicester last time out yet still gets in under bottom weight. The improving Midnight Legend mare is hard to oppose on the back of that dominant display at the Midlands venue and she is entitled to have come on for that first run in 377 days. Hartside ran a good third at Catterick last time out and that brings him into the reckoning, while handicap debutant Broughtons Bandit is another to keep onside.

Point-to-point winner PIRATES CAY is expected to have been well readied for his debut under Rules and Alan King's horses are thriving at the moment. The gelded son of Black Sam Bellamy fetched a whopping 62,000 pounds at the Brightwells Sales at Cheltenham in May 2012 and warrants the utmost respect. Glowinginthedark has experience on his side but disappointed favourite backers at Southwell latest, so Rossoneri is feared most.

Mister Chairman fetched 40,000 euros at the Goffs Sales in June 2012 and is shortlisted for the Nicky Henderson stable, especially if the market vibes are positive. The same can be said about Piccadilly Circus, but NO NO ROMEO left a lasting impression when breaking his duck at Southwell in November and although he hasn't been seen since, Charlie Longsdon has his string in fine order at present and he is expected to be ready to roll.
