Majestic Bright clearly didn't give her true running on her comeback and it would be folly to write her off solely on that evidence, but preference is still for ADDIKT, who accounted for a subsequent winner in some style over course and distance last month and is only 5lb higher. Serious Drinking came the closest yet to breaking her duck at Wolverhampton - with Aldo one place back in third - but she remains frustrating and better value comes in the shape of Sasheen, whose second over a mile here suggested this trip is just what he wants.
Addikt was backed as if defeat was out of the question over C&D last time, and remains well treated on old form. He can defy a 5 lb rise at the main expense of Holden Eagle and Lunar River.

Copper Falls improved from her debut to fill the runner-up berth at Bath, while Marygold caught the eye getting the hang of the game late on at Windsor. Neither looks too special, though, so the vote goes to Richard Hannon's newcomer MINAL. This speedily-bred son of Compton Place is a half-brother to the stable's five-time winner Avon River, who scored as an early juvenile a couple of years back, and he should know his job. Otto The Great also hails from a decent family but his trainer is less prolific with two-year-old debutants.
The market will guide regarding the newcomers, of whom Minal looks much the likeliest contender, although he'll need to be sharp to get the better of the experienced Copper Falls. Marygold should benefit from her debut experience, and is another for the shortlist.

FAIR VALUE overcame inexperience to win really nicely at Lingfield and the handicapper hasn't been too harsh in giving her an initial mark of 75. In contrast, the assessor appears to know everything there is to know about Palais Glide, although she is nothing if not consistent and will be ready to pounce should the selection show any sign of weakness, as will Quality Art, who couldn't land the odds on quick ground at Bath but looked better suited to this surface when shedding his maiden tag here previously.
Fair Value and Quality Art appeal as the most progressive of these, and it will be no surprise if they dominate, with Simon Dow's runner a narrow preference. Palais Glide is next best.

DANEHILL DANTE went into plenty of notebooks when third in a warm Newbury maiden on his introduction and while his Irish 2000 Guineas entry looks optimistic at this stage, normal improvement should see him take this on the way to better things. Watercourse also has a bright future, judging by his fifth to Oaks fancy Elas Diamond at Nottingham last autumn. Dimension couldn't confirm the promise of his Kempton debut when he was last seen at Redcar, while market support for Jacqueline Quest's half-sister Coco Rouge would be interesting.
A strong-looking maiden which can go to Danehill Dante, who showed so much promise at Newbury on debut. Dimension may be worth another chance and is proven here, and there are a host of interesting newcomers, including Jacqueline Quest's half-sister Coco Rouge.

Resuscitator completed a hat-trick at Wolverhampton but while he is on an upward curve, he faces his toughest test of the year by some way. Watch Amigo held his form really well last season and doesn't have too many miles on the clock so better is to come from him. The same can be said for Call To Reason, although she does have to prove her worth on this surface. ALL ACTION is also a newcomer to the all-weather but his sire's progeny tend to act on it and he should strip fitter for his sixth in a competitive Newbury affair.
Call To Reason is open to plenty of improvement, and bids to follow up the success of stable-companion Forgotten Voice in this race 2 years ago. Huygens is a danger if behaving himself at the start, as is the lightly-raced All Action.

SEASIDE SIZZLER looked tapped for toe over a mile and a half here but he eventually consented to put his best foot forward and the way he finished off his race suggested that this extra emphasis on stamina will bring out the best in him. Staying is also Blackstone Vegas' forte and he deserves a change of luck after hitting the crossbar the last twice. Coda Agency has won this twice before and warmed up with a narrow second over course and distance, while Mac Federal only just went under on his return from four years off, although the 'bounce' factor has to be a concern.
An open race but High On A Hill goes well over this C&D and is just preferred to Sheena West's Mac Federal. Squad is another who won't be far away if his stamina holds out.

Ray Of Joy is 7lb higher than when collecting this prize 12 months ago and her most recent performances suggest the handicapper holds sway. Ivory Silk has been punished for her consistency and has been bumped up 9lb for a second to the in-form Dickie Le Davoir at Leicester. Diapason appears to save her best for Wolverhampton so this can go to Cloud's End, who proved costly to follow last summer but she tasted success here on her only previous all-weather attempt and is open to further improvement.
Diapason has been running well this year and a reproduction of her latest run at Wolverhampton will make her hard to beat. The consistent Ivory Silk looks the chief threat, although course-specialist Ray of Joy may be capable of better after a break.
