BERT THE ALERT left behind some wayward turf efforts when returning to the winner's enclosure over this trip at Lingfield last week. Gary Moore's charge shoulders a penalty but has evidently returned to this sphere in good heart and a follow up may thus be on the cards. Bold Cross ran on for second at Wolverhampton last time and could appreciate this extra yardage, likewise Barton Bounty, who scored over the extended 1m1f at the same venue latest and doesn't look handicapped out of this off 3lb higher.

TENESSEE stayed on at the one pace when third over the extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last time and, as a previous C&D winner, he is expected to appreciate the return to this longer trip. Jamie Osborne's representative is on a long losing run but, 11lb lower than his previous winning mark, looks weighted to strike anytime soon. Highlife Dancer has been running well on turf and has claims, while there may be better to come from Evergreen Forest, who should be sharper for his recent reappearance run after a year on the sidelines.

HENRY CLAY was given a masterful front-running ride by Silvestre De Sousa over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last time and commands respect off 2lb higher. He's dropping back in trip today but is tough in a finish and may be capable of landing a double. Rhagori arrives here on a hat-trick after two recent successes on turf and is open to further improvement over the trip. He thus looks the main danger, ahead of recent Nottingham maiden winners Viewpoint and Albasharah, the latter of whom looks the pick of the two Godolphin representatives.

IWILSAYZISONLYONCE has left behind some moderate maiden form since switching his attention to handicaps. He scored over this trip at Catterick earlier in the month and there may be better to come, off 4lb higher, with useful apprentice Michael Metcalfe in the plate once again. Ouzinkie has been in good form on this surface and looks the main danger on the back of his Wolverhampton victory off 2lb lower. Handicap debutant Sakhee's Rose is potentially well treated off 65 and makes most appeal of the remainder.

TROPICS has demonstrated ability on both outings to date and probably wouldn't need to improve much upon his latest track and trip second to land the spoils here. The main dangers are both trained by John Gosden, and both Pategonia and Willow Beck merit market checks to assess the confidence behind their chances on their racecourse debuts. Others to consider are Queen Of Skies, who is entitled to build upon her debut fourth at Wolverhampton, and the consistent Kalokagathia.

Secretinthepark made a winning debut over this trip in a Warwick maiden in August and there is likely better to come from the least exposed runner in the race. Preference, however, is for polytrack specialist CAPPADOCIA, who has won two of her three starts in all-weather handicaps and stayed this trip well enough when second at Wolverhampton earlier in the month. Dashing David is respected now dropped in grade and could feasibly leave behind his latest running, when bringing up the rear in a Listed field at Doncaster.

TARTAN GUNNA is no longer the force of old and is currently on a losing run dating back to 2010. However, he has now dropped 23lb on the all-weather since the turn of the year and may up up to landing a minor handicap anytime soon. Five Hearts is only 2lb higher than when scoring over 1m2f at Yarmouth in June and must be considered one of the main dangers along with Irons On Fire, who was beaten by less than a length off this mark over 1m2f here last week.

Illustrious Prince was headed in the closing stages over 7f at Wolverhampton latest and now he's stepping up to this longer trip, preference is instead for BAREBACK, who has dropped 3lb for his latest effort at Lingfield and is back down to the same rating as when scoring over track and trip in February. Good Luck Charm returns to handicaps on the back of a fair C&D maiden third latest and has place claims along with Golden Desert and Satwa Laird.
