C&D form is a huge positive and Qadar must be respected for David Marnane who is also represented by Aragorn Icon, who can be forgiven his last run at Wexford when quick ground appeared to go against him. Smoky Cloud was an eye-catching runner-up in that particular Wexford contest but ONE OF THREE is preferred. A good second at the Curragh when last sighted, she looks to have a race in her off this type of mark.

Many of these are beginning to look exposed but HOT SAND gets the vote stepping back into maiden company. His most recent handicap performances have been thereabouts and this could be his chance to finally get his head in front. The lightly raced Ondeafears rates the pick of the remainder despite having to take on the boys while Landsdowne is also worthy of consideration with a modest Kilbeggan showing last time best forgotten.

Secret Hero arrives here bang in form and despite disappointing favourite backers when last sighted at Cork, it would be no surprise to see the five-year-old back in the winning enclosure after this. However, it could pay siding with LOMBRICI, as the filly could represent the value bet in the race. She was a game distance winner at Cork last time out and while the penny may have finally dropped, there could be more to come from the 4-y-o. Arabian Flame is another with genuine claims.

CURL CAT seemingly holds all the aces following a comfortable success at Clonmel earlier this month and despite taking a notable drop in trip tonight, the 5-y-o does have form over 7f and 1m. If this can be reproduced, he will take all the beating but it would be dangerous to rule out the chances of the 73-rated Livaleo, a son of the mighty Galileo, and distance winner Loveisthedrug, who is improving for each outing this term.

Rigid Rock bounced back to winning ways at Naas in early August but the fast surface on that occasion is a notable difference to the underfoot conditions he is likely to encounter here. For that reason, a chance is taken on BUBBLY BELLINI whose most recent performance at Sligo on yielding to soft ground suggests this track may well suit the five-time all-weather winner. Faynita is another with claims and should be considered closely at the shortlist stage.

The jockey booking of Nina Carberry aboard EUR ELUSIVE in the finale speak volumes as the filly bids to put back-to-back victories together after breaking her maiden tag at the Curragh in August. That impressive handicap display on easy ground bodes well for her supporters and she could well receive a form boost from One Of Three in the opener. Recent form figurers would suggest Footprint arrives here with a genuine chance while Ted Dolly is tough to discount despite failing to fire in stronger company latest.
