Aidan O'Brien boasts a remarkable record in this race over the past seven years (five wins) so his duo Kitty Matcham and the smartly-bred newcomer Countless Zoe obviously merit respect. Marginal preference, however, is for the Jim Bolger-trained MAIDIN MOCH. She looked to be crying out for this step up in distance when third on her debut over 6f at the Curragh last month and she can put that experience to maximum use this afternoon.

The highly-consistent Arch Rebel looks sure to run his race once again but he'd probably prefer a little ease underfoot and could be worth opposing. Jamie Spencer went close aboard Cougar Bay in a Group 3 at Windsor last month but the in-form jockey rides REGIME today and the latter is taken to come out on top. Michael Bell's three-year-old was beaten out of sight in the Derby but has since shaped very nicely in a couple of Group 2 races in France and he looks a danger to all in this company.

RED EVIE beat previous Group 1 winners Peeress and Nannina when landing this race last term and a repeat looks on the cards in what looks a slightly easier renewal. Michael Bell's filly bounced back from a couple of disappointing efforts to win the Hungerford Stakes over 7f last time and this return to a mile will suit. She was way below par when last at Newmarket in July however, in a race in which Arch Swing finished a creditable third and John Oxx's filly looks a real threat, while Echelon added the Celebration Mile to her win tally last month beating Cesare in good style but may prefer more ease in the ground. Of the rest, the speedy Evening Time steps up in trip but has yet to encounter a fast surface and Eastern Appeal is closely matched with Modeeroch on their running at the Curragh earlier this year.

Several with claims in this handicap contest but the real eye-catcher is KYLES BAY. He completed a double on good ground earlier in the year and bounced back to form (following a couple of indifferent displays on unsuitably yielding ground) when finding only subsequent Listed winner Many Colours too good over this C&D last month. He looks to have been given a sound chance by the handicapper off only a 2lb higher mark. Baggio, Crossing and Ad Tadh could give the selection most to worry about.

DYLAN THOMAS beat Ouija Board when winning this race last year and he looks capable of landing the odds to score a famous double. An impressive victory in the King George has split his last two runs over today's trip where he found only the brilliant duo of Authorized and Manduro too good. He had Red Rocks behind on the latter occasion and there is no logical reason why Brian Meehan's Breeders' Cup winner can reverse the form. The admirably consistent Maraahel is still searching for that elusive first Group 1 win but it's interesting that Jim Bolger's star filly Finsceal Beo steps up to 1m 2f for the first time here considering she would have probably started favourite for the Matron Stakes over a mile earlier on today's card. She could prove the biggest threat with Duke Of Marmalade and Red Rocks Canyon looking up against it.

Recent winners Halla Siamsa and Dawla rate very highly here but are passed over in favour of IMPERIAL ROSE. The selection has been in fine form over hurdles of late, having won her most recent flat start in a competitive Curragh handicap back in June. The jockey booking of Keiren Fallon suggests a big run is expected and she looks to have strong claims of claiming another success here.

Magna Cum Laude doesn't look the most straightforward of colts and he was only given a hands and heels ride when finishing second behind his stablemate Achill Island last time. He clearly has ability but preference is for HOUSTON DYNIMO who has shaped with a good deal of promise on his four starts to date and is taken to justify a string of high level entries and get off the mark here. Newcomer Casual Conquest makes plenty of interest on paper and has to be respected.

The lightly raced SPESIALTA is taken to appreciate today's marked step up in trip and claim her third success of the season in the day's finale. The selection's most recent efforts over 7f have suggested that this step up in trip would bring about further improvement from her and with Jim Bolger's yard continuing to send out winners, she looks worth siding with. The hat-trick-seeking Dane Blue and The God Of Love are others to consider in this trappy affair.
