Douglas Macarthur needs to leave his debut form firmly behind in order to strike second time out. It might be worth taking a chance on one of the newcomers, with the vote going to WORLD WAR, a 1,200,000gns recruit that makes plenty of appeal on breeding being a son of Galileo, out of smart mare Jacqueline Quest, who was first past the post in the 1,000 Guineas. Utah, another Ballydoyle representative, is also worth monitoring closely in the betting.

POWER STRUGGLE was touched off by a nose over track and trip last time and rates the one to beat following a 1lb rise in the ratings. Windsor Beach attracted support when third over 1m1f at Tipperary last time and could improve for this additional furlong having been outpaced in the closing stages last time. The pick of the remainder may be Credit The Giver, who has been knocking on the door over shorter recently and is unexposed over middle distances.

PROMISE TO BE TRUE struck at the first time of asking when landing a Tipperary maiden over an extended 7f last month and is expected to build on that performance and remain competitive in this higher grade. She is a sister to Maybe, who was a Group 1 winner over this trip, so makes stacks of appeal on breeding. Take A Deep Breath impressed when landing a Naas maiden latest and has place claims along with Elusive Beauty, who steps up in trip after landing minor money in a 6f Group 3 at the Curragh.

A race that has been taken by some high-class prospects in the last 10 years, including the likes of Teofilo, New Approach and Gleneagles. CHURCHILL was backed as if defeat was out of the question in the Chesham at Royal Ascot and, while he only won narrowly, the son of Galileo looked to have plenty of ability. He is likely to be a short-priced favourite once again, especially as it is hard to find his main danger. The likes of Eagle Spirit, King Electric and Ready To Roc have all shown ability but will need to improve to beat the selection. It could be left to Alexios Komnenos and Currency Converter to give Churchill the most to think about. That said, they both went off at big prices on their debuts and plenty of improvement will be required.

The soft ground may have been the reason for KADRA's flop when favourite last time out, but back on a quicker surface the filly can confirm the promise she displayed when third on her seasonal debut at Gowran Park. Handicap debutant Jimmy Kelly has made the frame in all three starts in maiden company and it would be no surprise to see him go well from an opening mark of 72. Oor Jock may find wins hard to come by but he could pick up some place money once again.

Recent Limerick winner Prickly clearly relishes a stamina test on fast ground but he only dead-heated for the win that day and a 3lb rise in the ratings makes life tougher. MY MANEKINEKO was not beaten far over 1m4f at Tipperary when last seen on the Flat and he should relish this extra distance. Others worthy of consideration in a wide-open contest are Ondamoura, Sea Bank and Sea Of Blue.

Based on official ratings SIAMSAIOCHT should prove hard to beat in this contest. The daughter of Teofilo showed decent form in Group/Listed races earlier in the year and was not disgraced in a handicap at the Curragh last Sunday. Marshall Jennings looks to be the main danger but has to give the selection 6lb despite being rated 4lb inferior. The unexposed Zulu Alpha merits consideration having only been narrowly beaten in a maiden at Gowran Park last season, while Toccata Blue cannot be completely dismissed either.
