Red Persian has shown a fair level of form on both his starts to date having finished runner-up to Beckford at the Curragh and Whitefountainfairy at Fairyhouse at the beginning of the month. The extra furlong is entitled to suit but it seems highly notable that Mark Johnston sends over RUFUS KING who is already a winner at Pontefract and built on that when runner-up in a conditions event behind stablemate Cardsharp at Beverley. Despite a 7lb penalty, he could take all the beating up to 7f. Bella Figura will benefit from the extra furlong after a promising debut at Fairyhouse.

Aidan O'Briens saddles a trio of well-bred colts who have all had racecourse experience. BERKELEY SQUARE shaped best of those on her debut when seventh at Leopardstown over 7f with Coat Of Arms in behind back in tenth and both are entitled to take a big step forward from that effort with the extra furlong a positive for the pair. Somerset Maugham was seventh at the Curragh over 6f and merits respect while, of the newcomers, Theobald makes a fair amount of appeal with Jim Bolger in excellent form.

KIRK'S DANCER's one and only start came when placed behind dual 1000 Guineas winner Winter at Dundalk last August and, while it is slightly concerning that the daughter of Dunkirk has been absent since, that piece of form could well prove strong enough for her to get off the mark. Xenobia is open to improvement from her return at Naas, while Aljunood looks best of the remainder.

JET STREAMING arrives here with what appears the strongest form on offer having shown a respectable level in three maidens to date. The daughter of Born To Sea makes her handicap debut and will appreciate the extra furlong on a stiff track. Nutcracker Suite looks capable of improvement now in first-time blinkers, while Purdey and Jamington are both capable of better.

EZANAK remains thoroughly unexposed and he can reverse form with Aared from their meeting at Naas in April on 9lb better terms tonight. The first-time visor should sharpen up this son of Sea The Stars and he is the type this yard do so well with. New Direction has a chance based on his Gowran win two starts ago, while Song Of Namibia cannot be discounted either.

A Little Bit Me bolted up at Listowel earlier in the month but a 21lb rise in the ratings makes life a lot tougher for her now. With that in mind, the preference is for LITTLE CLARINET given her last two respectable efforts. She was only narrowly denied at the Curragh last time out, while she was only a neck behind Solar Halo at the same venue the time before that and is now 7lb better off with that rival when Oisin Orr's claim is taken into account. Others to note are Buddha Boy and Meetyouatthemoon.

Anytime Willie Mullins sends one to the Flat they have to be given the utmost respect, as highlighted by his Ascot Stakes win with Thomas Hobson on Tuesday, and WOOD BREIZH must have a big chance tonight. When last seen on the level, the seven-year-old finished third at Dundalk in March from this mark. Black Label finished third in a similar event here last week and another good run can be expected from him but he does have ground to find with Ard Na Carraig (second) based on that evidence. Bobabout warrants consideration based on his jumps form, while Pirolo can also go well.
