Puppetshow could be the pick of the Aidan O'Brien runners having shaped with promise on debut at Naas, while stablemate Asking was one place behind TEMPERA at the Curragh last time. Dermot Weld's filly was having her first experience of racecourse action that day and shaped as though she would improve for the outing. Fellow Weld inmate Full Suit is interesting, as is O'Brien's newcomer Pavlenko, though the experienced Ribbons 'n' Roses should not be underestimated.

This looks a good opportunity for ORDEROFTHEGARTER to build on what was a highly promising debut over C&D in June. Second to subsequent Vintage Stakes winner War Decree that day, the Galileo colt could be a tough nut to crack. Cascavelle sports cheekpieces for the first time having shown signs of ability in his last two starts, while Fior Cliste has not been beaten far the last twice. Perhaps a bigger danger could be Invincible Ryker, though, as he was beaten just a length by subsequent Group 3 runner-up Spirit Of Valor on his Naas debut.

ELIZABETH BROWNING put in her best effort to date when second by a nose at Navan last time and a mark of 81 looks far from insurmountable here. Teo's Music put in her best effort to date at Gowran and could be sharpened by first-time blinkers, while Elusive Beauty has been running respectably of late but has to give plenty of weight all round. Althiba was a fair fourth in a nursery at Cork and this drop in trip could help.

Sovereign Debt returns to Ireland in an attempt to win the race he took last year, and a recent Doncaster success shows he's far from finished at the age of seven. Giving weight to BLUE DE VEGA could be an issue, though, as Michael O'Callaghan's charge was third in the Irish 2,000 Guineas earlier this season and could prove up to this task on his first start since Royal Ascot. Rose De Pierre followed up a Listed win with a second in a similar contest at Naas and is not to be underestimated.

Galilean impressed when landing a nursery at Cork, but he might not be the pick of Aidan O'Brien's team here as BOUND got the better of Queen Anne's Lace (third) and Butterflies (fifth) when second in a Listed contest at the Curragh last time. The Galileo filly is taken to go one better in this. Percy was not disgraced in a Group 3 here last time and has claims, while Jim Bolger has won the last two runnings of this contest so the maiden Dubai Sand should not be ruled out.

A race which often goes the way of an up-and-coming jumps horse could go the way of JENNIES JEWEL this year. Already established in the National Hunt sphere, having finished second in the Champion Stayers Hurdle at Punchestown, Jarlath Fahey's mare landed the Ascot Stakes in June and should be cherry ripe after two runs in September. Cradle Mountain was ahead of the selection at the Curragh last time but has a 4lb rise to contend with, while Magic Circle is an interesting British raider but has a bit to prove off his current mark. Willie Mullins' Renneti, Iain Jardine's admirable stayer Nakeeta and Noel Meade's high-class hurdler Snow Falcon are others to note.

Castle Guest won this race three years ago and has bits and pieces of form this term to give him a chance, while Clonard Street has dropped to a career-low mark so might be capable of a big run if finding his best. JAQEN H'GHAR gets the vote, though, as this seems to be the best time of the year for Joseph O'Brien's charge. Twice a winner in October last year, he returned to form with a Curragh success earlier this month and could be tough to beat. Naas third Dragon Fei and recent course runner-up Jacobs Well merit respect.

BAY OF BISCAY returned from over a year off the track to be beaten a short-head by smart bumper performer Vigil in a Navan contest last time and though this represents a big drop in trip from 1m5f, he could have the class to land the spoils. Creme De La and Waitaki give Dermot Weld a strong hand in this but both have developed a nasty habit of finding one too good, so perhaps a bigger danger is Flaming Sea, who ran a cracker to be second at the Curragh on debut earlier this month.
