Loch Ard cut no ice in France in the early part of the summer but looked a smart recruit when winning at Punchestown and Gowran Park before that. Ballynacree beat Loch Ard's stablemate Gorgeous Sixty to a Grade 3 prize at the Irish National meeting, but both lack the recent match practice of PAGEBOY, who made the frame behind subsequent Royal Bond winner Jezki at Naas. Umpact translated his successful bumper form to this sphere at Gowran Park but his sights are raised significantly.

KILCREA was a costly failure when returned to jumping at Tipperary, but he was a fair performer in bumpers and is worth another chance in a less competitive affair. Shattered Dream put a Punchestown no-show behind him when making the frame at Wexford and is the primary danger. Noble Pageant filled the runner-up berth at Clonmel but remains a maiden after 25 attempts so is one to avoid for win purposes.

Mikael D'Haguenet finally broke his chasing duck when outclassing his Punchestown rivals, putting an unfortunate experience at the same venue behind him in the process, but he will do well to concede 11lb to ARGOCAT. The selection scored decisively at Limerick before beating all bar Twinlight in a Galway Grade 3 and the winner has struck at an even higher level since to boost the form. Far Away So Close was beaten off a mark of 130 in a Fairyhouse handicap last time but is still best of the rest.

KILLCARA BOY went under by just half a length when returned to fences in a competitive handicap at Clonmel, and compensation awaits off just a 3lb higher figure. Yeoman couldn't justify market support over timber on the same card and is a stone higher in this sphere. Ponmeword didn't seem to stay 2m6f at Thurles and is expected to be seen in a better light now he drops in distance.

Appletime finished a place ahead of REAFADDA when fourth at Navan, but the latter paid the price for trying to match strides with impressive winner Moscow Mannon and runner-up The Paparrazi Kid, so more patient tactics can help him reverse the form. Jennies Jewel made a promising start to her jumping career at Punchestown, finishing four lengths in front of the reopposing Futuramic, and it won't be long before she goes one better.

See Double You has held his form really well since enjoying a confidence booster between the flags, and a reproduction of his latest Cork second puts him right in the firing line. Raajih is another model of consistency with lively claims, but one who could be ahead of the assessor is FAHAMORE, who only got as far as the first at the Punchestown Festival but was fancied on that occasion so there is the suspicion that much more is to come.

There was a strong word for QUICKPICK VIC prior to his Fairyhouse introduction and even though he was put in his place by a similarly well-regarded type in Owen Mc, he was clear of the third and the winner has since franked the form. There was encouragement to be taken from Theatre Mill's Navan effort, while Bridies Boy has to be given some thought as well after a point victory at Athlacca.
