RAINBOW MIRAGE made just her third start over a mile a winning one when scoring at this track last month and, in a race where plenty have questions to answer, the daughter of Garswood is tipped to land the spoils once again. The lightly-raced He's A Latchico is an intriguing prospect on his handicap debut and should be monitored closely in the market, while Star Of Valour also merits consideration now dropping back in trip.

It is hard to look past AL MARMAR here, after the son of Kodiac shaped with plenty of promise when second on his debut over course and distance just over a month ago. Improvement may well be forthcoming from the well-bred three-year-old and he is favoured ahead of the debutant Addingham, who hails from a family which his top yard has done particularly well with. The Richard Hannon-trained Mekbat is another newcomer to note.

Jastar is an interesting prospect on his first run for George Boughey, having run well at this track last summer, and a bold showing is expected as he returns from a gelding operation. However, he may find the William Haggas-trained PINK CRYSTAL too classy this time, after the daughter of Shamardal posted another good effort when second at Wolverhampton last month. Newcomer Crush And Run is a half-brother to the useful sprinter Primo Uomo and is also worthy of consideration.

Value for more then the winning margin at Chelmsford last month, ANTIPHON looks just the type that could excel in handicaps and an opening mark of 78 appears manageable. It usually pays to be on the pace in sprints here and that is another plus for the son of Kodiac as he looks to fend off the likely challenge of Beauzon, who is far more exposed but has been knocking on the door of late with three consecutive top-three finishes. Angle Land and Resilience also warrant consideration.

The Ed Dunlop stable can do little wrong at present and SUMMEREYES looks the one to beat here after an eye-catching handicap debut last month at Southwell, when a neck behind the reopposing Vaxholm (second) and she is 6lb better off with that rival today. With the step up in trip expected to suit, Jason Watson's mount is preferred to Midgetonamission, who is still a maiden after 11 starts, and Cicely, who shaped with promise in a novice event here last month.

In a moderate event the marginal preference is for KODIAC HARBOUR, who was only narrowly beaten off this mark over course and distance a few weeks ago. Beowulf has to be respected now switching back to the Flat after a spell over hurdles, while How Hard Can It Be and Maysong are others who are capable of going very well this afternoon.

MICK'S SPIRIT got off the mark over C&D two starts ago and he would have gone close last time but for being hampered at a crucial stage. A reproduction of either of those efforts today would give him a big chance. Shamshon is an obvious threat having bounced back to form last time, while For Peat's Sake is the pick of the remainder.
