This appears to be a good opportunity for REMOTELINX to get off the mark at the fourth attempt. John Hills' son of Choisir was a disappointing favourite at Sandown the last time but his chances were compromised by the bit slipping through his mouth. On his previous run he had finished half-a-length behind the subsequent Norfolk Stakes winner Approve and that form should make him hard to beat. Pearl Storm and Acclamazing appeal most of the newcomers.

Plenty of C&D form to go on in this intriguing handicap and the progressive 4yo filly AVRILO, herself a C&D winner, is given the nod. She's been running with great credit over the minimum trip and despite several elevations in the handicap she went close off today's mark in a competitive handicap at Newbury last time. Dangers appear in the shape of Grudge and Wreningham, who re-oppose after finishing one-two here last Saturday, and Liberty Lady and Make My Dream, who have good course form to their names.

MISS KITTY GREY has improved since the step up to seven furlongs on turf and, despite racing today off a 15lb higher mark than when she won at Yarmouth last time, she's still well handicapped judged on her previous outing behind the progressive Collect Art. The extra furlong is only a positive and she should be able to take advantage of the lack in race fitness of her two nearest rivals, William Haggis' Cloud's End and Jeremy Noseda's Progress.

TIMOCRACY is attempting to make it five from five in selling races since switching to Andrew Haynes and this two-time C&D winner is the one they have to beat. He reopposes today with Rapid City after the pair had to be split by the judge last time but the resolution of the runner-up has to be questioned after he appeared to find worryingly little off the bridle. Cactus King has recent form which would give him claims.

A weak maiden that should be at the mercy of John Gosden's VIEWING. The Cheveley Park Stud-owned filly made an encouraging debut in a decent Nottingham maiden and the half-sister to Locum should have no problems with the extra couple of furlongs. Budding Daffodil is the one for the forecast and Blizted should complete the placings.

CAPTAIN JOHN NIXON has improved significantly since stepping up to middle distances and, given the ease of his win last time, a 5lb hike in the handicap is unlikely to stop him completing his hat-trick. Michael Bell's Red Amy was given too much to do last time but shaped as if on the up and given David Lanigan's record in handicaps, further progression from his contender, Pleasant Way, should be forthcoming. Further improvement is also likely from Corr Point and Fine Lace.
