A slow start arguably cost SHAAQAAF a debut win, when she was a well-backed favourite, as she picked up really well late on to finish a very close third. If she gets out on terms today then she could prove to be a class above her rivals. Getna cost connections 250,000 euros as a yearling and she is a full-sister to a Listed-placed filly, while The Bear Can Fly is another newcomer to note given her trainer's record with juveniles this season.

Tobrave would be the one to beat if repeating his debut third at Kempton back in June, but he may find one or two of these interesting newcomers too good. CARIGRAD cost connections 160,000 euros and he is a half-brother to the yard's high-class performer Home Of The Brave so any market support for him would be a big positive, while De Little Engine is a half-sister to the Group 1-placed Nova Hawk.

DUBAI HORIZON only found an experienced rival too good for him on debut and he should improve for that run as he looked very green that day. Endeavour did not go on from his promising debut but 7f on good to soft ground may have stretched his stamina slightly. Across Dubai, who is bred on the same cross as Golden Horn, was a 120,000gns purchase as a yearling and any market support for him would have to be noted.

MISE EN ROSE did not quite have the speed to land a 6f Listed race last time out but she was far from disgraced by finishing third on that occasion, especially as she raced on an unfavoured part of the track. She has no problem seeing out 1m around a bend and her record on the all-weather is very good. Volunteer Point was in good heart on this surface last winter and the return to this venue may spark a change in form. Muffri'Ha put in a fine performance to beat the boys in a Newmarket Group 3 last time and she cannot be discounted despite having to give plenty of weight to the selection. Others to note are Battlement and Squash.

Following an impressive debut success in 2014, FAYDHAN was turned over at odds-on in a Newmarket Listed handicap when last seen in April but that form reads much better now with the winner, Home Of The Brave, going on to win a Group 3 and finish second in a couple of Group 2 events. John Gosden's charge has clearly had his problems but patience could be rewarded off what looks a workable mark of 100 here. Lord Of The Land made the most of a drop in class at Kempton latest and must be respected off top weight now back up in class. Peril is a player if picking up in the same form he left off in May, when going close to an all-weather 7f double, and he looks open to further progress.

LAST TANGO INPARIS sets the clear form standard having stepped up on her previous form when only narrowly losing out in a Listed race at Saint-Cloud in July and the Newbury maiden winner looks the type to have plenty more to offer for trainer Hughie Morrison. Pat Smullen gets the leg up on Ruscombe and she warrants a crack at a race like this having performed with plenty of credit in competitive handicaps the last twice. Eyeshine looks to be going the right way and won her maiden well at Kempton last time, while Doncaster scorer Bess Of Hardwick should have plenty more to offer.

Hungerford caught the eye at Beverley last time and could have more to offer, while another to consider is Hard Toffee now he returns from a break having last been sighted winning at Goodwood in August. However, Henry Candy is a master with his late developing types and looks to have another on his hands in the shape of SQUIGGLEY. The three-year-old opened her account at the second time of asking at Epsom recently and seems sure to improve from that first outing of the season.

Swiss Cross ran a blinder for second at Wolverhampton but his wide draw isn't ideal while Arcanista needs to leave behind a slightly disappointing effort last time. There could be better to come from Jazz Cat now he makes his handicap debut but the one who makes most appeal is CASCADING STARS, only narrowly touched off at Ayr and ideally berthed this evening.
