AVERTICUS is sure to improve on his debut effort when finishing third behind Fabuleux Millie at Windsor twelve days ago. He was short of room around the 2f pole but managed to stay on for third when getting a clear run. The fourth in that race has won since, giving the form stronger look. Bush Breakfast has finished third on all three of his starts and could go close again, while Ed Vaughan's newcomer, Convivial Spirit, warrants respect on his debut.

Barry Hills' team is in good form at present and DISTANT DRUMS looks capable of landing this contest on the evidence of her narrow defeat on the polytrack here last time. Trimlestown has shown the best form on grass and has the same conditions as when finishing a length behind Grand Entrance at Newmarket a week ago, while Magic Rush will be involved in the finish if adapting to grass.

Adam Kirby has opted to partner IMPERIAL GAIN, who sports a first-time visor. He has yet to run a bad race and was only beaten a short-head in a classified event over this trip on his penultimate start. He appears the one to beat. High Octave has been knocking on the door of late but the fact that the jockey has opted against him is a negative, while Possessed could go well at decent odds.

BEAU MARCHE is in the form of his life at present and the step up in trip will only enhance his chance of landing a third career success. Fanatsy Defender has proved hard to win with but is capable of laying down a serious challenge in this event, while For Life will appreciate the return to this grade and won't be too far away on the evidence of his second here last month.

GLENDALE has shown a model of consistency this term and will appreciate the return to the polytrack. Three of his four wins have come over C&D and he appears the one they all have to beat on the evidence of his penultimate effort off a mark 1lb lower than this evening's. Fanatsy Crusader got the better of Revolve over this trip at Kempton in May and is expected to hold that form despite being 2lb worse off tonight.

SENOR SET is in good health at present and was unlucky to come up against the smart and versatile Ostfanni over this trip at Musselburgh last time. His sole win came on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in May and he appears the one they all have to beat tonight. Desert Sea could provide the biggest challenge if his stamina lasts out over this extra half-mile, while Tycheros has won over C&D twice this season and warrants the utmost respect.
