This should revolve around the David Pipe runner BALDOVINA who makes his jumping debut for a top-yard. Any strong support in the betting would boost confidence in the ex-Flat horse's chance in a field where none of the entries has jumped a hurdle in public. Both Astral Charmer and Dancewiththestars come into the mix and Dee Jay Wells made a winning start for his present handler on the level.

King Of Slane makes some appeal after two bumper runs and Zendaro is also worth a second look after showing some promise. WILHEWISPA has very strong credentials with a C&D win to his name. Add to that a couple of fine efforts in similar contests to today's and it could make him hard to beat here.

A decent effort from Mister Fizzbomb last time out in a Sedgefield seller gives him a chance, while El Dee has a string of placings to his name and comes here fit after a spin on the Flat. Corso Palladio must be a candidate given connections but it may be wiser to stick with the solid form of PHOENIX EYE who, despite a blip at Stratford, has been running well all summer.

Orion Express may just need the run and This Way That Way got it right at Bangor last time. That Man Fox has looked a different horse this year and should be thereabouts, as should the ultra reliable Tarkesar. Dropping in class is Little Big Horse and he can get involved, but the solid performer DOUBLE DEPUTY likes it around here and, with a recent course win to his name, he can score in what looks on paper a competitive race.

Magical Harry went from bumpers to fences with considerable aplomb and will run his race, as will Baodai. Rock solid Montevideo deserved his rather fortunate win at Bangor where he was left in front but preference is for Killard Point and RAKALACKEY. The former has not looked back since switching to the larger obstacles but the latter may just have his measure judged on his first handicap win at Ludlow.

Nagano will probably need the outing after over a year away from the track and Nobel Bleu De Kerpaul won last term and has several bits of novice form to offer. Other than when pulled up at Wetherby, the form of EMERALD DESTINY holds up well in this context and Jedd O' Keeffe's 5-y-o arrives here ready to do himself justice.

Time to Act and Laureldean Melody are both worth noting in the betting. Neither one can be easily discounted, but two major players in the world of bumpers are Alan Swinbank and Malcom Jefferson. They are represented by Northern Blaze and GREAT GRIMSBY. The latter is preferred due solely to the fact that he was the most expensive to buy at the sales and comes from a winning family.
