The red-hot Willie Mullins yard continues to thrive and his French recruit TENNIS CAP is taken to make it a winning start. Having twice run well in his native country on soft and good to soft ground, there would be no doubts about his ability to cope with underfoot conditions here and, likely to know his task, he is expected to take some stopping. Mystic Desir is beginning to look exposed but hasn't been disgraced this year, while Noel Meade's Monksland is another for the shortlist.

GRIESENAU may not be available at a massive price but, having shaped with promise on his debut in a Downpatrick bumper, the gelded son of Luso is worth siding with on his first start over hurdles. Representing Noel Meade, he is expected to have been very well schooled for the occasion but don't rule out Local Celebrity. Willie Mullins' charge was unfortunately carried out when last sighted and is worthy of another look, while Rourke's Cross makes most appeal of the others.

Tony Martin's DEDIGOUT impressed at Punchestown last time out when Davy Russell hardly had to get serious on his hurdling debut. The five-year-old appeared to relish the testing ground on that occasion and with underfoot conditions in his favour again, it is hard to look past the gelded son of Bob Back. Turban is another to take seriously after shedding his maiden tag at Thurles, though My Murphy is interesting if Rourke's Cross can provide him with a timely form boost in the previous race on the card.

Former Welsh Grand National and Punchestown Guinness Gold Cup winner Notre Pere didn't show much when reverting to hurdles here last time and although he has been eased 5lb in the ratings, this might be another prep run as the 10-year-old gears up towards another crack at the Chepstow marathon later this month. Irish Soul could land a four-timer but HE'LLBEREMEMBERED gets the vote. The course winner wasn't disgraced off this mark last time out and the step up in trip is expected to bring out the best in him.

POPCORN gets the nod for the in-form Willie Mullins team. The eight-year-old scored with ease at Thurles in a beginners' event last time and, with soft ground set to play into his hands, back-to-back victories looks the most likely outcome. Jim Will Fix It is another for the shortlist and is sure to stay the trip, while Foildubh represents a model of consistency and, having run well in Grade 2 company last time, he is expected to appreciate the drop in class.

Ask Me Sister can benefit from having had a winning spin around Dromahane in a point-to-point event last month and, now tackling fences for the first time, she is likely to know her task. START ME UP has failed to fulfil early potential and live up to the form that saw him place in a Grade 3 hurdle but, over this extended trip, he is worth another look. The Charlie Swan charge clearly has talent in abundance and looks good each-way value at the forecast prices. Berties Dream is another to be wary of but he's yet to fire for new connections.

BISHOPS WALK was desperately unlucky not to score in a similar event at Punchestown last month but with improvement forthcoming, the Noel Meade inmate is expected to be all the rage in the finale. Darwins Fox, winner of that Punchestown bumper, has since come out to win a Listed novice hurdle and that form line suggests the John Magnier-owned gelding has enough to land this prize. Champagne Agent and Oscars Business look the most likely dangers to the selection.
