OXFORD THINKING was well supported on debut but a slow start, which was followed by the son of Holy Roman Emperor pulling hard early on, cost him any chance. With the benefit of that run under his belt, he can make it second-time lucky. The rest with experience do not look up to much and it could be left to Oden and Poetique, who both have decent pedigrees. to give the selection a race.

This is a moderate contest and stakes should be kept to a minimum. COOL STRUTTER won off this mark over 7f here back in September and recent efforts suggest that he should go well again if seeing out the trip. Table Manners remains comparatively unexposed, especially over this distance, and she is preferred of the rest ahead of Star of Spring and Rosy Ryan.

Lozah will likely be a warm order in the betting but she has proved frustrating to follow in the past and it might be worth siding with LET RIGHT BE DONE, who has a plum draw in stall one and returned to form at Musselburgh in August. He looks to be on a nice mark and could go well if handling this surface. Bromance gets a swing in the weights after finishing a few lengths behind Lozah last time out and should at least get closer on this occasion.

BOSHAM bumped into a useful rival when second at Lingfield on Monday and he should take all the beating from the same mark if he has fully recovered from those exertions. Memories Galore and Showdaisy are both progressive types and we may not have seen the best of them just yet. Of that pair, the latter would just get the nod due to her age and her consistency in recent months. Zapper Cass is another who can go well at an each-way price.

Amy Murphy has made an excellent start to the training ranks and SHAN DUN NA NGALL was one of her first winners. The five-year-old was found a gap by Lemos De Souza at Chelmsford earlier this month and he duly obliged, winning with a bit in hand. A 4lb rise might not be enough to prevent the follow up, while Jan Smuts should run his usual solid race and Waltz Darling probably needed the run at this venue just over two weeks ago and should do better now.

Statuesque is taking her time to break her duck but she rallied in the closing stages when finishing a neck second over 1m2f here last time and could fare better now fitted with blinkers and returned to 1m4f. Paris Magic sports first-time blinkers as he bids to bounce back from a tame effort over the extended 1m2f at Doncaster. Preferred ahead of both, however, is HENRY CROFT, who returns from a break and debuts for a new trainer but would go close if reproducing the form of his neck second at Newbury for John Gosden in August.

CORNWALLVILLE knuckled down well to score by a neck over 6f here last time and hasn't been hit hard with a 3lb rise. Roger Fell's four-year-old beat the well-regarded Von Blucher over this trip at Newbury in the summer so is expected to remain competitive now stepped back up in trip. Steel Train followed up his distance win at Doncaster with a solid 1m run at Chelmsford last time and has place claims along with the reliable Right Touch, who is sliding back towards his last winning rating.

NOVABRIDGE lost little in defeat when second over track and trip behind Lady Bacchus last time and is expected to give another good account off an unchanged mark and now reopposing that rival on better terms - he's only 1lb higher than when registering a distance victory at Wolverhampton in February. Secret Millionaire is a danger to all when operating at this moderate level, while the old boy Captain Scooby could be finishing strongly from the rear (often misses the break).
