BANNOCK put in a fine effort to finish a close second over this trip at Doncaster on his debut last month. He's entitled to benefit from the experience and should take all the beating here. Arcticality was weld held here on debut but represents the in-form Hanagan-Fahey team and could prove the danger, while the newcomers Neil's Pride and Galilee Chapel could make a bold showing.

It may be worth giving another chance here to GRUDGE, who unseated his rider leaving the stalls at Folkestone last time out. He has shown signs of returning to form recently and looks weighted to get back to winning ways here. Patch Patch won off this mark last spring and was second at Catterick this month. He looks the danger but chances might be also given to Ridley Didley and the first-time-visored Nomoreblondes.

A few in with chances here but preference is for the lightly-raced SPINATRIX, who has put in two good efforts at Doncaster so far. We may not have seen the best of her yet and she should take all the beating here. Pantella was placed in both starts last year and, although this is a little tougher, she has good claims if she's come on over the winter. Lady Kildare was a progressive sort last season and is another who must be considered.

In a wide-open affair, preference is for FROGNAL, a running-on second over 7f at Catterick in March. He's entitled to benefit from the run - his first since last September - and looks the one to be on off a 1lb higher handicap mark. Recent Southwell winner Ezra Church was second over 7f at Newcastle last week and looks the danger. Although Rio Cobolo was well held off this mark in second at Thirsk, he can be given a chance today in this company.

Thrust Control has won two of his last four starts but is not the most consistent. Although well held latest, Dark Lane won off this mark two starts ago and must be given every chance in this grade. It might be worth, however, giving a chance to SONNY RED, who lost his way at the end of last season. He takes a drop in class for his seasonal reappearance, has won off a higher mark in the past and could take all the beating if anywhere near his best.

This could go the way of COPPER CANYON who put in three good efforts last season. He tackles handicap company off what looks a very fair mark and would have little to find on last year's form to land this. Ollon never really threatened in five runs last season but drops in class today and could prove the biggest threat, although chances could also be given to Pintrada, who has the advantage of race fitness, Baby Driver and Pinotage.

AREEF may be the answer to this trappy 'getting-out stakes'. The penny seemed to drop for the filly last time at Bath, when she was beaten a neck over this trip. She runs off the same mark today and the fitting of a first-time visor might give her the edge here. Downtown Boy, second off this mark at Newcastle last month, and the progressive Byron Bear, third in that Newcastle race, can fight out the minor honours, although Chadford, fourth in that race, wouldn't have too much to find to get involved.
