BAASHIQ shaped with an abundance of promise when fourth over 7f here on debut and is expected to improve on that placing now granted this additional furlong. Armandihan similarly showed up well on soft ground when third on debut over this trip at Ayr and is unlikely to be far away if handling the forecast faster conditions. However, the main danger may be Saeed bin Suroor's newcomer Maghfoor, who holds two Classic entries. Wordsearch and Dal Riata are other newcomers to monitor closely in the betting.

AWAIT THE STORM has been highly tried this season relative to all of his opponents. He was sixth of seven in a Listed contest at Sandown in July, and although he failed to justify favouritism in a moderate Ripon maiden thereafter, he at least appears capable of running to something like his rating, which gives him a great chance of breaking his duck while operating at plating level. Springforth, who was thwarted by a neck in a track and trip seller in June, has place claims along with Best Bid.

DREAM REVERSION should be all the wiser for the experience gained when fourth on debut at Nottingham and is expected to better that placing now he has the benefit of the run behind him. Somewhere Secret ran encouragingly when sixth on debut at Haydock last month and could emerge as a live danger if building on that performance. Mark Johnston can ready a newcomer, so any money for the well-bred Khamaary would be notable. She's a half-sister to five winners, including Middle Park/Mill Reef winner Awzaan.

Sporty Yankee scored with plenty in hand over 1m5f on soft ground at Ayr when last sighted and although he's been raised 9lb since, he's expected to remain competitive while still able to operate at 0-75 level. Wishing Well is a model of consistency and runs off the same mark he was placed off at Catterick last time, while penalised Pontefract winner Harry Champion could also be thereabouts. However, it might be worth siding with ROCK ON BOLLINSKI, who landed this contest 12 months ago and is only 3lb higher than when striking over 2m on his penultimate outing at Thirsk.

MY DAD SYD has dropped to an attractive mark, though he was narrowly touched off when racing off the same rating at Ripon last time and he's banking on a first-time visor and the booking of an experienced pilot in Silvestre De Sousa to spark some immediate improvement this afternoon. Big Storm Coming lost little in defeat when third over 1m at Chelmsford last time and, along with recent 1m Carlisle scorer Jordan James, he has place claims now cutting back in trip.

DESIRE has been handed a 3lb rise by the handicapper for her overdue victory at Catterick last month but that is negated by Adam McNamara's claim and the four-year-old is fancied to make use of her good form and claim back-to-back victories. Good ground would suit the daughter of Kyllachy and she can get the better of Classic Pursuit, who did run creditably here three weeks ago but might not relish a step back up in trip to 7f. Reflation could appreciate a return to this sort of track, while Fly True warrants respect with first-time cheekpieces and Jim Crowley booked.

GABRIELLE showed signs of coming to hand when dropped in trip at Yarmouth last time out and connections will be disappointed if she cannot go close in this with Silvestre De Sousa booked for the first time. The three-year-old represents a trainer who does well at this venue with his small amount of runners and Ed Dunlop's charge can get the better of Cee Jay. The latter returns from a six-month break still looking for his first victory, while Shesthedream looks best of the remainder and is drawn to attack from stall one.

DILETTA TOMMASA has been running well of late and posted another solid effort recently when second at Wolverhampton. The six-year-old has won at the Teesside track in the past and a mark of 61 leaves Mark Loughnane's charge poised to strike. Lean On Pete did well to win from stall 13 at Beverley last month and looks sure to mount another bold bid, while Galilee Chapel was in third behind that rival there and has his work cut out to reduce that deficit.
