A cracking conditional event with many in-form performers and useful types returning from breaks for leading yards. In the circumstances it's probably best to stick with current form and BONCHESTER BRIDGE is given the vote for the thriving Henderson outfit. The mare ran well over fences last time and can make her guaranteed fitness count. Kosmos Bleu and Mister Wiseman finished 1-2 last time and should contend again, whilst money for Quizzene, Artadi and Bold Punt would be of interest.

Free World probably needed time to acclimatise last term and the champion trainer did not over-face him. He has always looked a chaser in the making and we could see a different animal this term. However, he finished behind PLANET OF SOUND at Newbury last season and it seems reasonable to give the Hobbs charge the chance to confirm placings over the larger obstacles. Songe is well regarded by his up-and-coming trainer and could go well here, as could former high-class hurdler, Crow Wood.

Alan King retains a high opinion of Black Jacari, so the performance of INDIAN GROOM in beating that gelding on his Market Rasen debut looks strong enough for him to handle this opposition, despite the concession of 5lb to all rivals. Just Rob shaped well on his debut at Uttoxeter and will improve, although Ski Sunday was well beaten first time up. The 'dark horse' is Gary Moore's debutant, Sufad, an Alhaarth gelding with fair form in the summer for Kevin Prendergast in Ireland.

TOP DRESSING has yet to win over more than 2m but he's worth chancing over this trip on good ground. He made a satisfactory reappearance when staying on late to claim fourth place in a fair Perth handicap and has been dropped 1lb for that run, so he should go really well off this lowly perch. Bermuda Pointe also looks attractively weighted and must be a strong consideration, but Nelson's Spice was nailed by the handicapper last time. Calusa Caldera is interesting off this mark after a year's absence.

BORMO is thrown into handicap company, an interesting move as the Marathon gelding ought to be able to pick up any run-of-the-mill maiden hurdle. He consistently bumped into some useful sorts last term before being found out on atrocious ground on his final outing. He gets in here on a fair mark and fitness should be no problem with the yard in high form. Pascha Bere put up a splendid reappearance when third to The Polomoche and is a clear danger, while the lightly-raced Guardian Of Truth also merits respect.

SEYMAR LAD was backed as if defeat was out of the question when landing a competitive handicap chase at Chepstow. Ground conditions are similar here and although raised 8lb for that success the Oscar gelding can improve again. Gaora Lane ran a superb race in an amateur riders' contest at Cheltenham and looks set for a good season, although Apollo Creed may need some respite from the handicapper before obliging again. Stolen Moments is as consistent as they come and shouldn't be ruled out on his reappearance.

This could be an above average bumper as it features promising winners and a host of enticing prospects. Nicky Henderson is a master in these races and his PIPE BANNER is given a token vote to make a winning debut. Moscow Catch and Time For Rupert were impressive winners on debut, Bensalem is a highly regarded pointer and the unbeaten Shiwawa returns after an absence of 771 days. However, the best advice is to monitor the market very carefully and record the race for future reference.
