HOLIDAY BOY has been banging hard on the door in similar claimer of late and connections have found him a real opening. He's worth sticking with while evidently on good terms with himself and can score at the expense of French Holiday and Have We Met.
THE IRON FURNACE appreciated the change in tactics when making all to land the spoils in a similar claimer last time out. Another bold front-running performance looks assured, but No Waiting and Lucky Trader will be there to pounce if the selection falters.
KAISER'S D'LIGHT was third past the post before being awarded with the race in the stewards room here last month and she's expected to confirm that form in front of the reopposing March Back To Me and Star Black.
NINES WILD FRANKIE made an encouraging debut when reeled in close home over track and trip and he can make amends here with that experience under his belt. British Glory has been running to a solid level in slightly better company and is feared, while Royal Silk is forgiven his heavy defeat in Stakes company last time and is another serious threat.
SOLDIER MOUNTAIN wasn't beaten far when runner-up in an allowance race last time and he can get back in the winning groove dropped down in to claiming company. Osterville is feared most having missed out by a neck at this venue last month while Silk Spinner should be good enough to grab third.
HEY KID should have little trouble registering his first career success here. He ran a cracker when second at Saratoga when last seen and this race isn't as strong. Fightin Irish and Flashy Ross should be left to fight it out for second spot, with the former narrowly preferred.
BOSSY GAL built on her impressive track and trip success when a half-length second (back here) last time - would probably have won but for getting squeezed early on and then clipping heels - and she edges the vote in a competitive-looking heat tonight. Clara Lives Strong has been hammering on the door and should be in the mix again, while hat-trick seeking Miss Pasco County merits consideration as she steps up in class.
A few look to have chances here, so ALE receives what can only be a tentative vote. His time looks sure to be sooner rather than later, though, having now placed on his last five visits to the racetrack. Without Regard and Rover have also been running well in defeat and should be up towards the business end at the death.
