DARNITNEV has been tried over a series of different distances but he reverts to 2m4f here, a trip he was second over at Uttoxeter in May. He then found 2m1f too sharp before he ran well enough over 3m back at Uttoxeter last time. This is his trip and with first-time cheekpieces on, he is dangerous to dismiss. Lord Landen returns to hurdles for the first time since March 2014, he won a handicap chase at Market Rasen two starts ago and he looks to take advantage of a lower mark in this sphere. Barton Antix, Mr Mafia and Urban Storm all have chances in an open contest.

CONAS TAOI arrives here without a penalty for his good win in a conditional jockeys chase at Newton Abbot last week. That was his second win in three starts and he beat quite a few in form horses, so a repeat of that run would give him a massive chance in this race. Cosway Spirit is a consistent sort and he has already proven that he is capable of being involved off this sort of mark, while Bebinn and Interpleader are others worthy of consideration.

Quebec has progressed well since winning a novices' selling hurdle at Exeter in March, since then he's won at Market Rasen and was third under a double penalty at Ludlow in May. He has now joined the Charlie Mann yard after being bought for 42,000 pounds and while his mark looks high enough, there could well be plenty more to come. ARGOT finally got his head in front last time after a string of placed efforts over hurdles and on the Flat, his mark is quite attractive and there should be races in him of a rating 122. Cool Macavity won well last time and a 3lb rise in the ratings won't make life too tough for him, so he deserves respect.

Minella Present has already won a novice chase this season after easily accounting for a field at Fontwell in June, he should go well but he looks vulnerable under a penalty. The Robin Dickin yard took this race last year with Garrahalish and he has solid claims once again with the consistent, and a little frustrating, THOMAS CRAPPER. He has finished second at both of the last two Cheltenham Festivals and while he hasn't won since November 2013, he has put up some solid efforts in defeat. Last season's Betfair Hurdle winner Violet Dancer looks the biggest danger but he needs to bounce back from some moderate runs, albeit in strong races, after that win.

A very moderate affair with a marginal preference going to BOHERNA LADY, who travelled well before not seeing out the 3m1f trip at Huntingdon on Sunday. If she has recovered from that run then she should be on the premises today. Izzy Piccolina was second in a similar race at Stratford in August but she was put up 6lb for that run, which looks very harsh, and Jeans Lady was two lengths behind her that day and is 3lb better off today. Pretty Rose, Spurned Girl and Carhue Princess are others with chances.

The form on offer here is average at best with Chief Brody looking the pick of those with experience going on his second at Ffos Las in February, although he did disappoint next time out. On pedigree, SAMSON makes plenty of appeal as he is a half-brother to former useful Flat performer Sohraab and the Group-placed Valencha. Ballyandrew is also interesting for a yard with a fair strike-rate in these sort of races.
