AZZERTI has contested two decent novice hurdles already this season and the four-year-old has not been disgraced in either of them. This race lacks depth and the son of Voix Du Nord should take all the beating. Scorpio Queen is a half-sister to the useful Master Of The Hall and she looked to have a bright future ahead of her when making a winning debut in a Southwell bumper back in May. Others to note are Count Meribel, Phoeniciana and Swoop To Conquer.

DUKE ARCADIO was only narrowly denied on his chasing debut ay Doncaster last month and, considering that was his seasonal debut, improvement can be expected. The seven-year-old won his sole start in points and a 3lb rise in the ratings for his latest effort would appear to be fair enough. Battle Dust showed a decent level of form early on last season prior to a couple of moderate efforts later in the campaign and this may be the time to catch him. Drumviredy is bred to be a chaser and he won first time out last season, while Goohar also makes the shortlist.

Amberjam has been off the track for a long time but he did put in a career best on his most recent start and he could go very well in a race as poor as this if anywhere near 100 per cent. SAMSON has taken a step forward since arriving in handicap company over hurdles and he could find some more progression on his first start over 3m. Cardinal Rose does have some questions to answer but he merits respect respect based on his 2015 form.

UMBERTO D'OLIVATE finally took advantage of his generous handicap mark when a clear-cut winner at Exeter last month. An 8lb rise for that win would still leave him on a workable mark, considering that he has won off 130 in the past. Yanmare is another to arrive here in top form, having won his last two starts, and a rating of 96 may still underestimate his ability. The shortlist is completed by Royal Native and Kilcascan.

THOMAS SHELBY was only narrowly beaten in a similar event here three weeks ago and he can fight his way to victory in a race with a lot of deadwood in it. Clondaw Bisto may have bumped into a decent sort at Fontwell on his hurdling debut and can give the selection the most to think about. Another Venture also has the form to go well, while any market support for Imperial Bay would have to be noted.

SOME FINISH relished a drop back in trip and was unfortunate to bump into one last time out at this venue. He relished a return to this right-handed track and now could be the time for Robin Dickin's charge to strike once more. Riddlestown returns to chasing off an 11lb lower mark than his hurdles mark and takes a drop in class, while Jamrham could still be improving despite being a nine-year-old and a 7lb rise might not deter Sam Thomas' charge from launching another bold bid.

BLACK TULIP comes from a decent family and is related to the connections' Young Spartacus, a Cheltenham Festival winner in 2003, and the four-year-old is a half-sister to the talented Meet The Legend, who was a bumper winner last year at Kelso. Biscuit was runner-up on her debut behind Scorpio Queen and is open to further improvement on just her second outing, while Molly Childers only found Ravenhill Road too good for her at Doncaster and should prove competitive here.
