The 110-rated Faustina Pius has been running to a consistent level of late and may improve for the re-fitting of blinkers. However, she looks fairly exposed and might be worth taking on with LOUGHDERG PRINCESS, who looked to be getting the hang of things when second at Ballinrobe latest and is open to further improvement on just her third start over timber. Daisyanabelle and Stormy Oscar are others capable of making their presence felt.

Marshim has been knocking hard on the door lately but is now 5lb higher than for two near misses at Listowel so the percentage call is to take him on with TA BLAZES. A C&D winner in the corresponding race twelve months ago, the selection returned to form with a creditable second over 2m3f at Downpatrick latest to hint his turn was fast approaching. Raised 6lb for his victory over this trip at Wexford latest, Opera Music is also considered.

KILCROSS BOY has been given a 77-day break since rattling the crossbar at Limerick and is expected to remain competitive over this slightly shorter trip, despite a 3lb rise. Jamsie Hall had the beating of the selection over C&D in June but is much worse off at today's terms so may have to settle for a supporting role this afternoon. A bigger danger could be C&D winner Lady Olwyn, who was denied a hat-trick at Ballinrobe latest (second), but may not have finished improving just yet.

Earls Quarter is a dual winner over hurdles and merits a market check now tackling the larger obstacles for the first time on the back of a turf campaign this summer. It may, however, be worth siding with the chasing experience of TOTAL EXCITEMENT, who turned in a creditable effort when second over 2m4f at Kilbeggan latest and will have no problems coping with this drop in trip. Days Ahead and He'llberemembered complete the shortlist.

LISROSE looked in need of a stiffer test when plodding on into third over 2m4f at Kilbeggan last time and gets the verdict now granted this longer trip. Henry De Bromhead's representative is entitled to build upon that effort on his second start over fences and shades the vote from recent Downpatrick runner-up Clara More and Killarney second Our Girl Lucy. Its All Hush Hush looks to be improving with each run in this sphere and is also considered.

BABY'S HOT will need to improve upon his chasing efforts of last season to land a blow but has been in good order over timber recently and could be well treated back over fences today. Barnevelder has been raised 5lb for striking over a similar trip at Downpatrick latest but he jumped well that day and could be the main danger to the selection if building on that effort. Top Four and Big Jemmy complete the shortlist.

JUPITOR looks to have a leading chance on the formbook and has also secured the services of the strongest rider in the race in Nina Carberry. Paul Nolan's six-year-old went down by less than a length in a C&D bumper latest and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice here. Kilbeggan second Kilavalley looks to be going the right way and appears the main danger, with Breaking Bits and Rose Of Dunamase making most appeal of the remainder.
