Verdict

CAT'S WHISKERS produced a very pleasing debut when touched off by ANGEL OF LIGHT. If the Mogok filly runs up to that level she can win this. VARIETY SPIRIT is improving with each run and the Blinkers she tried last time seemed to help. This Var filly should contest the finish. SPIRIT OF LOVE and JAYRISTA are two others that are capable of earning a stake cheque.

Verdict

SCHILLACI has been very disappointing to date in that he has yet to break out the maiden ranks but has found another weak field and it really is hard to see him losing this race. This distance does appear to suit the Gavin van Zyl trained gelding. GO FLY A KITE was fairly close up in his last two starts and his rider probably went too soon on him last time out and is the danger

Verdict

A wide open looking contest and as many runners as possible could be looked at for all exotic bets. BANKABLE TEDDY was well beaten in his latest but that was a feature race and he should do a lot better in this race. ILITSHE tends to lack a finish but is capable of causing an upset if he finds his best form. Respect the chances of CALICO QUIVER, DUBLIN REBEL and SUMMIT.
