KNAR MARDY won this race 12 months ago and will be fancied to go in again. She left a disappointing comeback run well behind when third over 2m4f here a couple of weeks ago and this extra couple of furlongs will almost certainly help. The Fox's Decree drops into selling company for the first time and should mount a bold bid, while Final Flyer is certainly no forlorn hope if putting his best foot forward.

Sharadiyn has been placed in half of his six visits here in the past and should give another good account tonight, but COOL BARANCA looks the one to beat. Usually a hard-pulling sort, she indicated that she's finally getting the hang of things when settling a lot better and finishing second at Kelso last time and a repeat performance is sure to see her go close. Follow The Sun cannot be overlooked on his return from a break.

Global Flyer appeared to benefit from the application of blinkers (worn again tonight) when bolting up over an extended 2m6f here last week and he warrants respect climbing in trip, but SOFT SPOKEN GUY edges the vote. He possibly found the ground too quick when disappointing at Kelso latest but ran out a facile winner when last competing in this sort of company at Kelso in April. A race-fit Kingsmoss could get the better of War Footing for third.

James Ewart's French import, PREMIER GRAND CRU, is heading the right way and could prove difficult to beat this evening. He stepped up on a solid Kelso second when scoring gamely over 2m4f at Aintree early last month and an 8lb rise in the weights may not be enough to prevent him from following up. Vivaldi ran well in his native Ireland latest and rates the biggest threat along with Makhzoon but, realistically, all seven runners can be given some sort of chance.

KING'S REALM gets the vote to open his account over timber now dropping into claiming company for the first time. He left a lacklustre display at Exeter well behind when runner-up at Southwell latest and must play a leading role if in the same mood tonight. Celtic Ballad came agonizingly close to winning at Huntingdon last time and comes into this with a big chance, while Bajan Pride looks a lively outsider on his hurdling return.

Prophete De Guye ran a cracker when 6-lengths behind the useful Paint The Clouds (who has won twice since) over hurdles at Cheltenham in April and should mount a bold bid on his return to fencing, but LUTIN DU MOULIN is fancied to follow up his two course wins last month. He looked better than ever the last day and a 9lb rise is fair enough. Allanard has won his last two starts when completing and is interesting off bottom-weight.

LATARADUD overcame greenness to score readily on his racecourse debut in this sphere at Worcester last month and, with improvement expected, he can defy his penalty. Bhaltair shaped promisingly in a couple of starts between the flags in April and commands respect on his NH debut for a top yard, while Tekthelot cannot be left out of calculations after posting a much improved effort at Perth three weeks ago.
