Fame And Fun could have more to offer after getting up to win on the line at Taunton in December and he isn't taken lightly. However, preference is for TORULA, who steps up in distance to 2m4f on this handicap debut and the Ben Pauling inmate doesn't look overburdened by his opening mark. Seymour Promise is another who could improve for this longer trip and merits consideration, with the in-form Sami Bear likely to be involved in some capacity too.

SPARTAN ARMY wasn't disgraced when fifth in a Grade 2 juvenile contest at Chepstow in December and could return to winning ways down in class, with the emphasis on speed expected to suit. Matata found only one too good when last seen at Haydock and merits respect in a similar-looking heat. Celtic Art is rated 6lb inferior to the Nigel Twiston-Davies inmate, but he could put his C&D success to good use and shouldn't be underestimated.

Harlem Soul is unbeaten in two chase appearances at this venue after recording a second win over 2m4f on Boxing Day, but the five-year-old may prove worth taking on now 6lb higher in the handicap and being dropped in trip. MIDNIGHT MIDGE has been left on the same rating after last month's C&D second and Philip Hobbs' charge looks more than capable of picking up a race of this nature. Mongol Emperor has yet to win over fences, but is dangerous to discount in first-time cheekpieces off a tumbling mark.

CERTAINLY RED arrives in the form of his life following a C&D success in December and having followed up when dropped back in trip at Sandown last time. Despite an 8lb rise for the latest victory, the son of Midnight Legend could have further improvement to come for stepping back up in distance. Southfield Harvest could have more to offer over fences after his fourth at Chepstow in December, with Golden Sovereign and Kapga De Lily others for the shortlist.

ANNIE MAGIC sets the form standard based on her three outings over hurdles to date and the application of a tongue-tie might aid her cause further. She got the better of Lime Avenue here in December and that rival reopposes having appeared to find heavy ground too much to handle at Exeter on New Year's Day. Ilovethenightlife was placed in Listed company at Taunton and is likely to enter the reckoning too.

13-year-old SHANTOU FLYER still appears to retain plenty of his ability and was last seen between the flags narrowly beating last year's Aintree Festival Foxhunters winner Latenightpass. He arrives as the highest-rated rival and should take all the beating. Famous Clermont arrives on the back of a 30-length romp in a point-to-point at Larkhill on New Year's Day and rates a live threat, with Step Back making more appeal than Another Venture, after not being disgraced in a handicap over C&D on Boxing Day.

Tique arguably sets the standard of those who have competed in bumpers after finishing fourth at Huntingdon in November, but the filly may prove vulnerable to a less-exposed rival. GOODTIMECREW could be the answer on both this Rules and stable debut after finishing second on her sole point-to-point in Ireland, with any market support worth noting. Larchmont Lass, Sam's Amour and the selection's stablemate Armathia are all entitled to improve for their respective NH Flat race debuts and are others to consider.
