GRIVETANA made an impressive start to her career when scoring at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in December and, in a contest lacking depth on paper, it would be disappointing if Paul Nicholls' filly didn't prove a cut above her rivals. Callisto's King is open to improvement following his fourth at Doncaster, while others to note include Fairly Famous and Mini Yeats.

NATIVE ROBIN arrives in search of a C&D hat-trick and the veteran performer, who went up 8lb for his latest victory, may prove a tough nut to crack based on his current form. Go Steady returns to fences after placing in a novice hurdle at Leicester last month and he is capable of a decent showing along with Flagrant Delitiep, who was runner-up here on his latest outing.

MAX DYNAMO returned from a break to win here over slightly further in January and the 12-year-old is capable of backing that performance up off a 4lb higher mark. Johnny B bounced back to form when runner-up over hurdles at Exeter earlier in the month and is of interest on his chasing bow. Heavey, who scored over C&D last time, and Tide Times are both likely to be in the mix.

It is difficult to look past a rejuvenated GOSHEN following an impressive Listed success at Sandown earlier in the month. Gary Moore's enigmatic star bolted up in this contest last year by 22 lengths, though, he faces a more formidable challenge this time around in the shape of last year's Triumph Hurdle runner-up Adagio, who has not been seen since an excellent second in the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham in November. Faivoir is most likely to pick up the pieces if the aforementioned pair falter.

MR GLASS looked to be out of his depth when third in the Tolworth Hurdle last month but, returned to his optimum trip here, the unexposed six-year-old can strike on his handicap debut. A winner when last seen at Uttoxeter in October, Trincomalee could have a say in proceedings along with C&D winner Sizable Sam, who ran a promising race at Taunton on his return to this sphere. Harry Fry seems to be finding the key to Master Debonair, who could improve for the step up in trip.

Ask Me Early signed off last season with a good win over fences at Uttoxeter and has won a pair of novice hurdles so far this term. He was well fancied for the Welsh Grand National before a schooling fall ruled him and he has to be considered off what looks a workable chase mark. Course form can count for a lot here, though, so EL PASO WOOD gets the vote. David Pipe's gelding won well over slightly further here last month and followed that up with a good second over C&D last time. He appears to be improving over fences and could get back to winning ways. Fontwell second I See You Well completes the shortlist.

ZYON had been struggling a little over fences this term, but flourished for the switch to the smaller obstacles when successful at Kempton last time and he could defy a 4lb higher rating in this. William Philo scored on his handicap bow at Fontwell last time and has to be of interest here with Brian Carver's claim offsetting some of his 6lb hike, while Lamanver Bel Ami struggled at Warwick last time but might be worth another chance after his Worcester win two starts ago.
