Silver Wind commands the utmost respect following his C&D success here on Saturday night but the six-year-old must defy a 6lb penalty and, for that reason, the improving TROJAN ROCKET makes more appeal. The son of Elusive City finally broke his duck over track and trip in September and a 6lb rise in the ratings seems fair for this progressive type. Kipchak is a course winner and makes particular appeal at the forecast prices while Penny's Pearl rates best of the rest.

Shevington didn't appear to handle the quick ground at Musselburgh when last sighted and while this switch to the all-weather is expected to bring about marked improvement, JAKE'S DESTINY gets the vote. The George Baker charge shaped with plenty of promise over track and trip on debut and with Kieren Fallon in the saddle, connections are clearly confident of a bold performance. Ellastina makes most appeal elsewhere in the field.

Ed McMahon's yard appears to be coming into a rich vein of form and having broke his maiden tag over this trip at Beverley last time out, THE RISING is worthy of close consideration on his handicap bow. This mark of 73 seems fair as the son of Pivotal has gained plenty of experience in the process but don't rule out the chance of Balm on her first start for Pat Morris. Elsewhere, Roy's Legacy is worth a second look while the top-weight, Taffe, is also expected to go well.

While this does represent a drop in class, the recent form of Alhaban is lacking in appeal and AJDAAD is preferred following his C&D success last month. The four-year-old gelding needed every yard of the trip on that occasion and benefitted from a hold-up ride under Graham Gibbons, who keeps the ride. Having broke his maiden tag at the 14th time of asking, he is now taken to continue on an upward curve at this trip but keep an eye on Commerce, who has claims on her best form.

PURSUING could open her account this evening. Nigel Tinkler's filly showed signs that she was beginning to get the hang of things when third over 1m2f at Redcar almost two weeks ago and, with just five starts under her belt, there should be plenty more to come. Eastward Ho almost pulled off a 200-1 shock result at Pontefract recently and he will be taken more seriously now, while Kieren Fallon is an interesting jockey booking aboard joint top-rated Mister Frosty.

A chance is taken on FLYING PICKETS in this open looking nursery. He didn't have much luck in running when fourth in a seller over C&D eight days ago and should mount a bold bid if avoiding traffic problems tonight. Thorpe Bay came close to winning over an extended 5f here last Saturday and it's interesting that cheekpieces are fitted now, while Aussie Guest and the first-time blinkered Double Cee are others worthy of consideration.

PRINCE OF PASSION showed a likeable attitude when striking at Leicester ten days ago and, lining up off the same mark on his all-weather return tonight, he gets the vote to follow up. Michael's Nook won impressively on his first start for David Barron on that same card at Leicester and, like the selection, he gets in off the same mark here while Know No Fear has rewarded each-way followers on his last couple of starts and cannot be ruled out under the champ.

Annes Rocket has been knocking on the door recently and seems sure to be in the shake-up again, but JONNIE SKULL edges the vote. This past C&D winner ran up to something like his best form when a close second over 1m at Kempton nine days ago and his record under title-chasing jockey Kieren Fallon is impressive (unplaced just once in six starts). Valeo Si Vales could figure prominently if in the same mood as when third at Kempton last time.
