ROSIE CROWE performed creditably at Nottingham four weeks ago and still looks well handicapped off a mark of 48. The four-year-old has won off higher ratings in the past and she could take advantage of a modest contest under promising 3lb claimer Charlie Bennett. Zamastar remains open to improvement and could be on the premises, while Mount Cheiron won on this surface at Newcastle earlier this month to spring a surprise and a 4lb rise doesn't look too detrimental towards his chances.

Viva Verglas could prove popular in the betting off a mark 32lb lower than his last winning one but he is thoroughly exposed and hasn't won since 2013. It might be worth taking him on with another five-year-old in the shape of VIRILE, whose two career victories have come at this venue. He couldn't quite follow up on fast ground on turf last week and deserves another chance back on this surface. Misu Pete and Intense Starlet could prove to be the value in the race and it would be no surprise to see either on the premises.

PRINCESS HOLLY was visored for the first time at Lingfield earlier this month and that looked to be working when the filly showed early speed and got herself in a decent position. Her inexperienced rider took her to the stands side and that put an end to her chance, so she could be worth another go with Graham Gibbons in the saddle. Secret Coin has disappointed for Jamie Osborne but still merits respect in such a weak renewal, while Tisnowornever and Ballyanna at least have some scope for improvement given time.

FASTNET BLAST was never travelling at Pontefract last month when quietly fancied to go well on handicap debut and he could be worth another chance now tackling Tapeta for the first time. Ed Walker's gelding looks likely to appreciate this surface and has been dropped 2lb since that previous effort to a mark of 68. Michael Bell has his string in fine order and Machine Learner is drawn to attack in stall one, while Rubensian has been edging closer to victory and shaped well at Chelmsford 12 days ago.

This can go the way of VAN DYKE, who performed admirably at Deauville recently at large odds and shouldn't face anything as strong in this event. Hughie Morrison's charge shaped as though he was ready to get off the mark and he can get the better of likely market rival Best Laid Plans. The latter is less exposed and could appreciate the return to Tapeta, but her effort last time out raised more questions than answers and she will probably be short enough. Hangman Jury would be interesting if supported in the betting beforehand.

British Embassy knuckled down well to score by half a length over a mile at Pontefract last time and should be thereabouts off 5lb higher in this sphere. For win purposes, however, preference is for MUSTAQQIL, who has been eased 1lb for finishing fifth in a stronger contest over C&D latest and may benefit from this drop into 0-75 company. Toboggan's Fire attracted support when third at Hamilton latest and is another to consider given she receives weight from the older horses and continues to perform to a consistent level.

CAPE CRYSTAL won with over three lengths in hand over track and trip on Tuesday and rates the one to beat now turned out swiftly under a penalty. Anneani is similarly reappearing on the back of a short absence, having rattled the crossbar at Leicester only three days ago, and should also be thereabouts. The pick of the remainder may be Gold Return, an unexposed three-year-old from the David Lanigan stable that steps up in trip after keeping on well for third over the extended mile on her handicap debut last time.
