SAGREDO had to settle for second best over 2m5f at Wetherby last month but the drop in trip should suit and he is entitled to come on for that as it was his first run since October. The Boss is considered but he might find this trip on the sharp side and the same comments apply to Diamond Eclipse. Kusadasi was well beaten over hurdles here on his first run for David Pipe but better can be expected today. Olympian is also respected.

LIKE MINDED was a beaten odds-on favourite on his only previous run over fences but he has the highest hurdles rating of these and he has the scope to make a useful chaser. Valento, a winner over hurdles at Kempton last time, is worthy of consideration on his chasing debut and Sangfroid is also entitled to make his presence felt. Henry Daly's mare, Francesa, can also take a hand and Caddie Master could not be ruled out with confidence on his debut over larger obstacles.

Qaspal is becoming disappointing over fences but he would take all the beating here if reproducing his best hurdles form. That is looking less and less likely now though. LOUIS PASTEUR will find this much tougher than the Newton Abbot hunters' chase which he won last month but he did score with plenty in hand and he can go well here. Herons Well has decent claims if bouncing back to his best and Swing Bill is interesting with blinkers applied for the first time.

LISTEN AND LEARN was narrowly denied when runner-up on his debut at Newton Abbot last month but that was a sound effort and he should take plenty of beating this afternoon with improvement likely. My Lad Percy should improve for his debut experience and he could make the frame, whilst Parkam Jack, who has shown ability between the flags, is also respected on his debut under NH rules.

Bob Casey is beginning to look very nicely handicapped on his best form and he is respected here, along with Pierre Dubh, who has been raised 9lb for his Wincanton success last month. Native Breeze took a step in the right direction at Stratford last week and she could get involved but a chance is taken on HERO'S CALL. She showed glimmers of ability in novice hurdles and although she finished well beaten on her handicap debut last time, she might still have more to offer.

John William Deeley Classic Handicap Hurdle

Qulinton looks fairly treated on the pick of his form over larger obstacles but he was well beaten over hurdles at Haydock last time. His stablemate, Midnight Tuesday, has been raised 8lb for his C&D success last month but he merits respect as does Warne's Way, who has the assistance of McCoy. Unpartou is considered on his handicap debut and Harry Tricker could not be ruled out with confidence but ULTRAVOX gets a tentative vote. He showed signs of a return to form when third at Newton Abbot last time and he could be ready to capitalise on his attractive mark.

Bens Moor is an interesting contender despite his lengthy layoff and dual Irish point-to-point winner Shinrock Beat is respected on his debut under NH rules. Martial Law finished runner-up when odds-on favourite at Towcester last month but that form gives him solid claims today. However, slight preference is for PEARLS LEGEND, who ran well over 2m here last time and should be suited by the step up to this trip.

Point-to-point winner ACCORDING TO TREV showed a good attitude to score in a Folkestone bumper over 2m2f on his NH debut. With this trip no problem, he could make a winning hurdling debut. Wild West was narrowly denied in a Market Rasen bumper last month and he looks a likely contender on his hurdling bow. Earth Tremor must also be considered on his first run since joining the Tim Vaughan yard.
