None of the four with previous racecourse experience to their name - Is Feider Leis, Three Free Spirits, Last Minute Lisa or Youtalktoomuch - make any strong appeal and it should pay to take a chance on one of the newcomers. Jim Bolger is very capable of getting them ready first time out so his Strapless commands respect. A daughter of Whipper, the last-named fetched only 1,000 euros as a yearling though, and marginal preference is for SPINACRE, who is related to a spate of winners, including Listed sprint scorer Spin Cycle.

FELINA looks to be coming to hand and turned in her best effort yet when third at Naas latest. Noted as keeping on well in the closing stages that day, the step up in trip could prove the catalyst for a return to the winner's enclosure this afternoon and enable her to reverse form with the reopposing second, Red Sea Poll. Faleena is another that looked in need of further when outpaced over the minimum trip at Tipperary latest and merits inclusion on the shortlist.

ALLEGRA TAK needs to bounce back from a wayward effort at the Curragh latest but performed with credit when third behind My Girl Anna off 3lb higher over track and trip on her penultimate start. Eurosmart Lady could strip fitter for her last run at Dundalk and also merits shortlist inclusion, along with Bubbly Bellini, who has registered all five of his career victories over sprint trips and thus deserves credit for holding on to third over 7f at Down Royal earlier this month.

With an official rating of 100, TRIUMPHANT commands plenty of respect on these terms and there is good reason to believe he's capable of making his presence felt at this level considering he's dropped in grade on the back of a respectable effort in Listed company at the Curragh. Swerve made most of the running until getting headed late on at Listowel last time and could prove the biggest threat if allowed a soft lead in this small field. Last-time-out winners Brendan Brackan and Mizani warrant market checks and are also considered.

Jim Bolger's newcomer Loreto is closely related to a number of Pattern winners and warrants close inspection in the betting ahead of her racecourse debut. With the benefit of a previous experience behind her, however, MAID TO MASTER shades the vote on the back of her 1m third at Naas, an effort that represented a career-best and confirmed she's going the right way. Sparking View was outpaced over 7f at Naas latest and, now stepped up in trip, is another for the shortlist.

WINNING IMPACT advertised his wellbeing when landing minor honours at the Curragh last month and looks handicapped to strike soon since he's 1lb lower than when scoring at Roscommon last year. The list of dangers is headed by ex-John Gosden inmate Potomac, who was returning from a lengthy absence when fifth at Gowran latest and is entitled to build upon that run on what is only his second start for Andrew Oliver. Balladiene, outpaced over 7f the last twice, completes the shortlist now returned to his optimum trip.

LORD JIM shaped with promise on his first run beyond 1m, going down by just a neck over C&D last time, with Purple back in third. Reopposing the last-named on identical terms, the selection is taken to confirm those placings and gain compensation for last month's near miss. Jimtown broke his maiden in style at Ballinrobe last month and merits respect now pitched back into handicaps off 4lb higher, although the main danger could be Summer Knight, who ran a solid race from the front when going down by less than a length at Gowran latest.
