Kinari has been massively improved in recent runs and the progressive six-year-old merits plenty of respect today, although he now finds himself on a 13lb higher mark. TALES OF MILAN is another to be successful on his most recent start, for which he has been raised 7lb, but he has been rated a lot higher than that in the past. Others to make the shortlist in a very competitive contest are Clubs Are Trumps, Forever My Friend and Tsar Alexandre.

Most of these arrive here on the back of moderate recent performances but not EDGAR, who improved on his second at Huntington two starts ago with a win at Stratford a couple of weeks ago. A 7lb rise for that victory is fair and should not stop him from going very well once again. Bob Lewis remains a maiden under Rules but often makes the frame, while Caspian Piper is entitled to improve on his comeback run last month.

Poisoned Berry's defection appears to leave this in the hands of the newcomers, of which LYME PARK gets a tentative vote as a half-sister to hurdle and chase winner Nefyn Bay. Raveloe represents a powerful yard and she is a half-sister to Spirit Of Kayf, who was a winner in this sphere back in January. Oscar Rose is closely related to the useful Lie Forrit and is worth a look in the market.

Lady Of Longstone is not the most reliable of performers but if she were to produce her best form today then the daughter of Beneficial would be a danger to all. The progressive BALLINURE gets the verdict in a wide-open race following a decent win at Uttoxeter in May. The six-year-old appears to remain on a workable mark despite a 5lb rise for his latest victory. Newton Geronimo and Zalgarry complete the shortlist.

PRESELI ROCK had been a frustrating animal but finally got his head in front when successful on his debut for Oliver Sherwood at Uttoxeter last month. A 7lb penalty for that win should not stop this 130-rated gelding from going very well once again. The other penalised runners, Buckskin Boulta and River Of Intrigue, also merit respect. Minella Treasure finished second in both starts in points and is worth a look in the market.

TITANS APPROACH has to shoulder top weight but he was only narrowly denied in a similar event at Fontwell recently. The 6lb rise for that performance is negated by his rider's claim and he makes plenty of appeal this afternoon. Sporting Milan makes his handicap debut from an attractive mark based on his second at Warwick in April, while Grey Messenger and Mister Dick are also of interest.

WAZOWSKI will be very hard to beat if he repeats the performance which saw him bolt up at Hexham recently. A 7lb penalty makes things tougher for the son of Overbury on his handicap debut but the progressive seven-year-old is hard to oppose. Bennachie was second his chasing debut last time and he remains on a decent mark over the smaller obstacles. Dragoon Guard filled third place at Fontwell a couple of weeks ago, a position he could finish in again today.

A tricky contest to close the card but HIGHBURY HIGH makes plenty of appeal. Unlike his rivals today the nine-year-old has won a race recently, when he successful at Wincanton in May, and he followed the victory with a respectable third at Fontwell later that month. Asockastar bounced back to form when second at Uttoxeter last time out, while Act Of Supremacy is still comparatively unexposed and could yet have more to offer.
