Trainer says

We were a bit disappointed with him in the Lincoln, but a few of our early runners ran a bit below expectations and they might have just been a bit shorter on fitness than we thought they were. He’ll improve from that run, and we’ll kick on with him in similar premier handicaps at a mile. His form from last year reads well and I’d say he has another big day in him when it falls right.

He ran well in a valuable handicap at Lingfield last week, but the race just didn’t drop right for him. James Doyle thought he might prefer seven furlongs in that sort of setup around a bend. There’s a big day in him when everything goes right for him. He could potentially be one for the Racing League over the summer.

She ran ok on her return and probably just needed the run. The plan was to run her at Navan next week, but I think she wants much better ground than she’s likely to get there, so I’d say we might just wait for it to dry out a bit. I think she’ll stay well, and the dream is that she might be able to pick up some black type before the season is finished.

He runs in the Alleged Stakes at the Curragh this weekend and it’ll be great to get him started. He always runs well at the Curragh and hopefully he can get his campaign off to a positive start. We’ve given him an entry in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the end of May and the hope is that it might cut up a bit by the time we get there. The Brunabonne Syndicate are living the dream with him and hopefully he’ll give them a lot more fun this season.

He ran well in the Irish Lincoln and the hope is that he’ll have another good season. He’s a very good work horse and he’s one of those that when things drop right for him, he’s capable of anything. We’ll keep rocking away in premier handicaps at around a mile and he could be another one for the Racing League.

He got a little knock in his last start last season that cut his campaign a bit short, but he’s back in great shape now. We have an eye on a premier handicap on Irish Guineas weekend for him. He likes good ground and is a very solid horse. He could be one for something like the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap at Royal Ascot. We have thought about stretching him out in trip in the past, but I don’t think he wants to go further than a mile-and-a-half.

Shayzann has been gelded and is in good shape. His form tailed off a bit on us at the backend of last season. I really fancied him at Roscommon, but the takeaway from that day was that he just doesn’t handle softer ground. I think his mark is workable and he might be able to progress into a stakes horse.

He wasn’t beaten far in the Irish Lincoln and will come on from that. We knew the trip was going to be a bit short for him there, but it isn’t easy to place horses with his rating, so we got him started there. We’ll get him back up to a mile-and-a-quarter in the coming weeks and will drive on from there. He could end up trying a mile-and-a-half later in the season and could be one for the Racing League during the summer.

This is a filly I like a lot. We think we have a nice bunch of three-year-old fillies and she’s up there with the best of them. She’s entered in the Irish 1,000 Guineas. She’ll most likely start back in a fillies’ maiden over a mile in the next couple of weeks. She’s by Masar and should be fine at a mile-and-a-quarter, but she doesn’t lack pace at all.

I was happy with his comeback run at Naas, he just got a bit tired in the final furlong. I’m likely to run him in the 2,000 Guineas trial at Leopardstown on Sunday. We don’t have loads of options for a horse like him and while I’d love for it to be a week later, I think he’ll run. I always thought he’d stay a mile-and-a-quarter, but he isn’t short of pace and I think he’ll cope with the drop to seven furlongs on testing ground which he gets through well.

He makes his return at Dundalk on Friday evening. He’s a horse that wants fast ground. He ran well in deep company in the Tyros Stakes and the Goffs Million. We thought he’d have no trouble winning a maiden at Dundalk, but it looks a strong race this evening. Seven furlongs or a mile should suit him well.

Raydamann is one of our nicer three-year-old colts. He wants fast ground, but was ready to start at the backend of last season and I was keen to give him a run, so we let him take his chance on testing ground. He ran well there and just got tired, but he’s a lot better than that run. There’s a maiden over a mile at Dundalk on Friday week that I have in mind for him and that will be a lovely starting point for him. He is one that should go up to a mile-and-a-quarter and progress as the year goes on.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well she won on debut last week. She was working well and I expected her to run well to a point, but to get found out for fitness late on, so it was great to see her do what she did. She travelled great and picked up well on the ground. She should improve a lot. She could be one for the Athasi Stakes next. She has a good racing character and will give herself a good chance of staying a mile later in the year.
