Verdict
OUR BOY ROCKY (second) had Hello Jack (third) eight lengths behind over 2m5f here last month. The selection won a maiden hurdle on testing ground and has a fair chance of opening his account over fences. Westoftignes joined John McConnell after finishing second over hurdles at Gowran and makes his chasing bow. Shanroe Act won in fine style over hurdles here last month and followed up off the same lowly mark on his chasing debut, but a 17lb higher mark will demand more of the eight-year-old.
Expert View Verdict
WESTOFTIGNES was a touch unlucky last time over hurdles but is fancied to make amends off 4lb higher on his chase debut. The way he finished that day suggested that this step back up in trip would be of benefit and he's already proven himself versatile ground wise. Smackwater Jack is a strong stayer at the trip and he is on a dangerous mark based on his old UK form. He can throw down the biggest challenge ahead of Lovely Reaction who has been let down by her jumping recently. However she was going well when coming down here on her penultimate start and is 2lb lower today.
