Verdict

SHOWURAPPRECIATION can revert to chasing to take this valuable prize. An impressive scorer on his most recent start over fences at Punchestown in January, the Jonathan Sweeney-trained eight-year-old readily exploited a lower timber mark here subsequently. Almost certainly laid out for this contest, given that his owner usually has a well-fancied runner in it, it is surely significant that connections rely on just the sole contender. Rokathir won't find it easy to concede weight all round, but already looks a much better horse over fences and he is proven around this testing venue. Naas runner-up Magic McColgan has to be respected for Willie Mullins.

Expert View Verdict

Rokathir has progressed well since returning to fences, winning his last two, and it would be no surprise were he to land the hat-trick on handicap debut over fences but SHOWURAPPRECIATION is on a hat-trick himself and open to just as much improvement. A good winner at Punchestown two starts back, he reverted to hurdles for a comfortable score at this course last time and, although his new mark has kicked in now, it would be a surprise were he not to prove better than a 126-rated performer. Magic McColgan is entitled to plenty of respect being from a top stable and has taken well to fences even though she hasn't got her head in front so far. Stamina is a potential issue but that's not the case with Built By Ballymore who is proven over further and was running a good race in front when unseating at Naas last time.
