Verdict

MUTLEY CREW has recorded both wins over fences so far on heavy ground, including last month's C&D success. She remains unexposed despite her age and may well defy an 8lb hike, given the underfoot conditions are in her favour once again. it was also testing ground when Saint Cyr De Pail won nicely at Exeter and he could have a say in proceedings, while Pedley Wood is also noted.

Expert View Verdict

Venetia Williams has enjoyed a torrid season but she could have some respite here with JEU D'OPALE. He's well treated on his French win and the form of his penultimate runner up effort has been franked by the winner. He races off the same mark here and if jumping better than last time he can defeat Saint Cyr De Pail who was an impressive winner under an aggressive ride last time. That form has been boosted since so he looks the main danger despite a 7lb rise. The sole mare in the race Mutley Crew is also respected on her recent C&D win which made it 2-2 on heavy ground over fences.
