CHAPELLI represents a yard that had a 31 per cent strike-rate with two-year-olds at this venue last year and, being a closely related to a few winners at this age, is fancied to know her job for the Mark Johnston team. Primeiro Boy was far from disgraced on debut at Hamilton last time and is fancied to build on those exertions, while Raypeteafterme is a half-brother to plenty of early types and represents a trainer who can ready one first time up.

PEARL NOIR and Perfect Words have both been unlucky behind progressive handicapper Only Spoofing in recent weeks, and the former is fancied to take a step forward here to claim a second win from his last four starts. A confirmed trailblazer, that will suit at this venue and a draw in stall nine might not be as disruptive as it appears on paper for Scott Dixon's charge. Mr Strutter also had the misfortune of bumping into a nicely treated rival last time and shouldn't be far away off this fair handicap mark.

COLLODI won this race last year off the exact same mark and looks poised to repeat the dose for Neil Mulholland. He has struggled over the sticks the last twice, but looks a better animal in this sphere and can take advantage of a nice opening. Sellingallthetime was best of the remainder on the all-weather last time behind a smart Godolphin-owned inmate, while Yes Daddy could grab a share of the pot but needs a market check after 220 days off the track.

Elusive Heights was in fine form during the winter on the all-weather, winning twice over today's trip at Newcastle, and he must be respected on his reappearance. Poet's Society and Raselasad both let down favourite backers last time but have to be respected here and are both capable. However, preference is for track specialist OUR CHARLIE BROWN, who scored over this course and distance twice last season and is just 3lb higher than the latest of those now.

ITALIAN RIVIERA has won four times at this venue (twice on the Flat and twice over hurdles), including a facile C&D success last month. James Sullivan will need to pull off similar hold-up tactics as Paul Mulrennan 26 days ago, but Kenneth Slack's gelding should be able to defy an 8lb hike with a bit of luck in running. Bodacious Name has placed both in this code and over hurdles in recent weeks and he looks sure to give another good account, while Simmo's Partytrick holds each-way claims despite the rise in class.

WEELLAN finally got the win he richly deserved when making all over 1m at Ripon and, with this drop back in trip unlikely to pose any problems, he is fancied to defy a 6lb rise. Inviolable Spirit bounced right back to form on heavy ground at Leicester in late April and should give the follow-up bid a good go with no concerns over the faster surface (has won on good to firm). Byron's Choice also warrants respect lining up off the same mark as when fourth on his comeback at Musselburgh, but this time he has Callum Rodriguez taking a handy 3lb off.

The 75-rated Bustam warrants respect dropping in class with first-time cheekpieces equipped, while Pop Telecom is worth a market check at least ahead of her debut for a stable that boast an impressive 22 per cent strike-rate with their Catterick runners over the last five seasons. However, EMPHATIC improved in each of his three starts as a juvenile, placing here the last twice, and a subsequent gelding operation could potentially unlock another gear. He is taken to make a winning return.
