SKIP TO VICTORY is hard to oppose following her third at Southwell in March. That followed a narrow second at the same venue and a repeat of either of those efforts may see Dylan Cunha's filly get off the mark here. Stoneacre Joe disappointed on his handicap debut but is a player based on his previous performances, while Vinciamo is next best.

I'M DAN DARE disappointed when favourite at Ripon last time, but that followed a close second at Redcar. Given the weakness of this contest, Mark Walford's new recruit can be given another chance. O Fortuna showed enough when fifth at Nottingham to suggest that he can be competitive off 3lb lower in this company, while similar comments apply to Powernap.

Mr Writer clearly sets the standard following a second in handicap company off a mark of 77 at Lingfield. That said, he's had plenty of chances and could be vulnerable to an improver such as GRASMERE BOY. Julie Camacho's gelding outran odds of 33/1 when a neck second on his debut at Newcastle at the beginning of the month. That appears to be strong form and the son of Harry Angel makes plenty of appeal. Any market support for Two Commanders would have to be noted.

ZEPHLYN hasn't been pulling up any trees lately but he was successful twice over C&D in May last year, including in this race from 5lb higher. A number of these still need to truly prove themselves over two miles and, with that in mind, he could be too strong. Fleur De Mer and Captain Robert both arrive following a string of consistent efforts and wouldn't need much more to come out on top.

Although EVOCATIVE SPARK might not be the force of old, he has hit a real purple patch this season, winning three times at this venue already. The latest came over C&D and the son of Frankel still has a bit in hand based on past exploits so further success may well await. Good Earth merits respect following a cosy Haydock victory, while Carlisle third Wen Moon appeals most of the remainder.

Agric Ranger hasn't shown a great deal in his three starts in novice company, but he could prove a different proposition now competing in the handicap ranks. Mademoiselle Belle is respected based on her second at Nottingham two starts ago, but BATTENBURG BELLE only found one too good when dropped to this distance at Ripon and she looks well placed to go one better.

Both La Tosca and Star Of Emerald make their handicap debuts and will need to be monitored in the betting. Connections of Gemical reach for a first-time visor in the hope of bringing out improvement, but FAVOURITE FRIEND is the one to side with. The son of Sea The Moon showed more when fourth over 1m2f at Bath and takes a step back up in trip in first-time blinkers, which could work the oracle.
