Hard to be confident with only Storma Norma proven on ground with any cut. However, the Hills team have always enjoyed success here and SOCIETY PEARL looked one for the notebook when fourth on debut at Doncaster in late July. She is worth taking a chance with in the hope she handles conditions. Neamour progressed from a decent debut last time and rates a threat with Madame Elizabeth and Lilbourne Eliza not ruled out either in a trappy affair.

Three runners for 'Team Koukash' with Layla's Oasis preferred of the trio. However, CHASING DREAMS, a confirmed 5f specialist, ran out an easy winner on soft ground at Catterick in August. Hopefully, she'll handle these deeper conditions and is preferred to Sharaarah, a fair third at Ripon behind Silver Ridge latest on soft ground. All Fur Coat, well beaten in higher grade the last thrice, has claims on her soft ground Lily Agnes win here at the Chester Cup meeting.

Most have some sort of chance but the return to 7f looks sure to suit CORPORAL MADDOX and he earns a tentative vote. The five-year-old was down the field over 1m here last time but had previously run well for fourth behind Go Dutch at Doncaster and that form gives him every chance. Clockmaker and Dr Red Eye, closely matched on recent course form, also command plenty of respect.

LIVERY hasn't been seen since a promising debut at Sandown on soft ground in early June, staying on nicely to claim third spot from Dr Yes (winner since) in the closing stages. His subsequent absence is a slight concern but the son of Hurricane Run really should score here. Humungosaur was only second in a seller last time so Gulf Storm is suggested as second best as Gabrial's Hope has yet to beat a rival in two runs to date.

A useful field of progressive sorts with the improving MISS CAP ESTEL expected to go well off bottomweight. She has winning C&D form, continues on the upgrade and remains attractively treated. The Mark Johnston pair heading the weights are both in excellent form and will prove tough nuts to crack with preference for Prussian as he's already scored on soft ground unlike his stablemate. Deia Sunrise may reverse recent course running with Eastern Destiny on this ground and rates next best.

Bank Bonus just about sets the standard on form but DANEKING, twice placed on heavy ground over shorter trips, was considered of sufficient standard to contest the Melrose Handicap at York won by Guarantee. This is rather more straightforward and he has decent claims on the best of his form if forgiven a below par effort last time. News Show also enters the equation as he remains in consistent form and scored on the soft at Yarmouth in July.

Some old friends come to the party once again but if ROKER PARK can repeat his excellent run when fourth behind Jack Dexter at Ayr last weekend, he's the one to beat. The first-time visor is a slight concern but he has sported different headgear previously. He handles heavy ground well and can defy topweight. All Or Nothin will be interesting if handling conditions as he's the potential improver on show whilst the old boy Beckermet makes each-way appeal.
