Last Sovereign comes into this in decent form and he will be expected to give a good account at this level. However, he meets FANROUGE on 4lb worse terms than he would in a handicap and that just tilts the balance in favour of Malcolm Saunders' filly. Dickies Lad would have a big chance on his best form and he is interesting dropping to claiming company for the first time. Powerful Wind is also respected.

STIR TRADER was turned over at long odds-on at Ffos Las last time but he sets a clear standard here and he should have little difficulty putting these rivals to the sword. My Time has shown some promise in his two outings to date and he could be the one to chase the selection home. No Plan B and Gran Canaria Queen could challenge for the runner-up position.

DANCING MAITE bounced back to form to score over 6f here last week and a 4lb rise might not be enough to prevent another bold bid with the step up to 7f unlikely to pose a problem. Light From Mars is beginning to look very well handicapped and it would be no surprise to see him go close. The Happy Hammer is also entitled to be in the shake-up and he makes the shortlist, along with Dozy Joe and Batgirl.

Liberty Island got the better of THIRTEEN SHIVERS over 5f at Haydock last time but Mick Easterby's representative has a 2lb pull here and he looks the better drawn of the pair. Pea Shooter was beaten by the narrowest of margins by Escape To Glory over 6f at Haydock last time and that form gives him a big chance despite a 3lb rise. Doctor Parkes, Noverre To Go and Selfara are other possible contenders.

Angelito is progressive and a 6lb rise for his handicap debut success at Bath might not stop him going close here. Bubbly Ballerina is in good heart at present and she should be thereabouts, along with Flash City and Blue Jack, but SILKEN EXPRESS gets the verdict. She had to settle for second best on her handicap debut at Windsor last month but there could still be plenty of improvement to come from her and she looks a big player tonight.

HIGH FIVE SOCIETY has been struggling of late but he is very nicely handicapped as a consequence and three of his eight career wins have come over this C&D. Dana's Present has been raised 4lb for his 1m Kempton victory earlier this month but he looks sure to play a leading role once more. Always Eager, Celtic Step and Northern Spy are others to consider in an open contest.

Blue Dune took a step in the right direction when upped up to 1m4f at Brighton last time and she is interesting taking another step up in trip. Porcini got the better of Cape Rainbow over 1m4f at Kempton last week and they are both respected, along with Jeer, who has been raised 3lb for his 1m4f success here last week. JACOB MCCANDLES finished third over this C&D last time and his proven stamina should stand him in good stead this evening, so he gets a tentative vote. Azrag won here on Thursday night and would have to be taken seriously if lining up again.

Kingswinford should run his race and be thereabouts but a chance is taken on ONE SCOOP OR TWO. He is now 9lb lower than his last winning mark and although he disappointed at Chester last time, his previous effort over this C&D was solid. Saharia and Knowe Head are also respected.
