NOBLE MEMORY (7) took a clear step forward when finishing third at Saint-Cloud in late May in a race that has worked out well, with the winner going on to Listed success. Lightly raced and open to further improvement, he is taken to come out on top. MAGNUS (4) has been running consistently and rates the principal danger. THING FOR THE HOT (1) has the form to play a major role and should give another good account, while MUTANT KING (9) was not beaten far despite finishing unplaced last time and is worthy of respect.

TAMAR (4) made an encouraging debut when finishing fourth over this course and distance in late June and is expected to improve with that experience. The booking of Christophe Soumillon catches the eye and she gets the vote. MARKEZA (9), who finished sixth in the same race, is also entitled to progress and rates the main danger. VAPOA (10) was fifth in that maiden, with the form boosted by the third horse winning next time, and she also commands respect. ESTIVALE (11) completes the shortlist.

AURORA BOREALIS (11) stepped forward significantly after a needed comeback run when finishing an pleasing second at Deauville, when beaten by a narrow margin. CELTIC ARYAAN (3) was back in fourth in the same race and can make life difficult for the selection. WOFF (7) ran a decent fourth at Parislongchamp 7 days ago and can not be ruled out of the frame, and DRUIDE (6) looks favourably treated at the weights and merits consideration.

OCEAN STAR (13) ran well to be third at Nancy in late May when last seen and is given the vote ahead of MADAME MAGIC (8), who has shaped well to be placed on the latest two runs and can make the selection pull out all of the stops. FORGOTTEN SON (9) ran his best race at Deauville when second in a maiden late last month and has to enter calculations on his handicap bow. MARASI DRIVE (7) makes up the shortlist.

GENTLEMANLIKE (3) could be the answer to this Listed race. He won well over 2400m at Lyon Parilly late in June when last seen and looks like he will keep on progressing. His fitness can give him an edge over PROOF (5), who was a solid third in the Criterium De Saint-Cloud (Gr.1) on October 26 when last seen. He could be a tad rusty on his return although he is a promising colt. WIKI (6) was second behind the main selection at Lyon Parilly and looks best of the rest.

SIGNORA BELLISSIMA (2) was arguably unlucky not to win last time after her rider misjudged the winning post. She can make amends this time under the same rider. OPIANA (7), runner-up in this grade at Nantes on July 1, looks like the main threat, while THALIA (8) remains competitive off her current mark handicap mark. MOOREA (3) benefits from a valuable weight allowance and has place ambitions, while ECLAIRE LA VIE (4) has dropped in the handicap and is worth considering.

FANZI CHOP (3) got off the mark last time at Clairefontaine earlier this month over 1800m and has solid claims of following up. His main threat could be SOCIANDO (7), who has been placed on the last two runs, which includes a win on his penultimate start at Nantes on June. ALINKA (6) has been third on the last two runs and is one to consider strongly each-way. ROMAN BOY (4) looks best of the remainder.

8

OMICRONE (2) is a lot better than her recent form figures. Formerly rated as high as 43.5, she has often been seen under less-than-ideal conditions, mostly on ground that did not suit. Back over her optimum trip, on fast ground she relishes, and against her own sex, she is taken to return to winning ways. The fitting of cheek- pieces could also have a positive effect. THE SHADOW (5) has been a model of consistency and is a proven performer at this level and around Compiegne, making her the main threat. ZAWAN (3) and PLACEHOLDER (15) both had trouble in running when last seen and are capable of bouncing back. ZASYMOKA (9) makes up the shortlist.
