THE BALEARIC SUN was set a stiffer task at Sandown on debut and failed to make an impression. However, Ralph Beckett's charge can include a Listed winner among his four winning relatives and could prove a different proposition in a first-time tongue-tie in this lower grade. Zarakova is another likely improver having shown some ability at Wolverhampton on her introduction, while Ad Lib makes most appeal of the newcomers.

EUTROPIA looked to have the race in the bag at Salisbury last month, only to be picked off in the dying strides. Adrian Wintle's consistent filly is still improving and another bold bid looks assured. Bobacious led for a long way over 1m2f here last time and he can't be ruled out over this shorter trip, but Kitaro Kich may prove a bigger threat allowed to race off a much lower mark back on the turf.

A case of sorts can be made for most of these, with PERFECT SCOUNDREL taken to edge affairs. Touched off by only a head at Newbury a fortnight ago, the son of Without Parole has enough scope for defy a 2lb rise and open his account. Hello Cotai wasn't beaten far when third over C&D last time and is another to consider, while Tiger finished a resolute second at Doncaster and could also have a say in proceedings.

PRIDE OF NEPAL is in the form of his life and the eight-year-old bids for a fifth consecutive victory. He has gone up 19lb since returning to turf in May and boasts strong credentials once again after the latest success at Ripon. Damascus Steel returned to winning ways at Goodwood last time and is likely to be in the mix following a 3lb rise. Others to consider are I'd Go Maniac and Shahbaz.

UPPERCASE has improved with each start this season and Harry Eustace's gelding makes plenty of appeal having got off the mark at Catterick last time. The four-year-old went up 2lb for that success and is expected to be too strong for Atmosphere, who has been knocking on the door in three all-weather appearances this year. Cherry Cobbler's latest second at Newmarket gives him every chance.

PIAZZA wasn't at all disgraced on her first appearance in 10 months when fifth at Kempton. The daughter of Starspangledbanner should take a decent step forward in what appears to be a winnable contest on paper. Madman runs off the same mark as when filling the runner-up spot at Salisbury last month and is respected, along with Credit Forgedd It and Ice Cube.
