Plenty in with chances but preference is for NEDZER'S RETURN, who has been keeping fit this winter by running between the flags, winning at Lingstown earlier this month. He completed a hat-trick under rules last year, including two good chase successes, and should have the measure of these rivals. Perce Rock is also a recent point-to-point winner with decent form under rules but his jumping is not always foot perfect. Chances might also be given to Chasing Cars, if he can recapture last year's form, Send For Paddy and Saddlers Storm.

CADOGAN looked a decent hurdler in the making but was off the track for four years before returning this term. His recent second at Punchestown on just his second run over fences suggests he retains a fair portion of his old ability and should be up to scoring here. Gran Torino was second at Fairyhouse this month but well beaten and still has something to find - a remark that also applies to High Desert, a distant runner-up at Navan on his chasing debut. The Shepherd has some good form over hurdles but still has plenty to learn over fences.

This might not take too much winning and it's worth siding with the progressive HOLD EM COWBOY. He only got as far as the first when falling on his penultimate start but was a good third last time at Thurles and there should be more to come. Consistency isn't Hidden Present's strong point but he scored at Limerick two starts ago and cannot be ruled out. Getting round is a major problem for Vardas Supreme but he's shown enough to suggest he could take a hand with a clear round. The Corby Glen and Yeoman can be given chances.

MICKELSON made little impression on his hurdling debut at Clonmel, when seventh of 16, but has looked a progressive sort in 'bumpers' and is worth giving another chance to today. Lord Redsgirth has gone close several times over timber but disappointed last time out at Perth and is starting to look exposed. Inside Shadow looks slightly flattered by his form figures but cannot be ruled out while Milano Magic did well on his hurdling debut and could run well. Derrychrin is another to be considered on his hurdling debut.

ROCKY WEDNESDAY appears to have been found a great opportunity to open his account over hurdles. He left a number of disappointing efforts well behind when fourth in a decent maiden hurdle at Navan latest and any further improvement would make him difficult to beat here. There was only 1 1/2-lengths splitting Hidden Future and Grainne Delight last time and they may be closely matched again, while Baileys Ruffit wouldn't be without a chance if finding top gear.

It's difficult to look past the hat-trick seeking BAY OF KOTOR here. He stepped up on his workmanlike Fairyhouse success when scoring readily at Navan last week and a 6lb penalty shouldn't be enough to stop him going in again. Takestan is 13lb better off for a 14-length beating by the selection nine days ago and he should be able to close the gap while past C&D winner, Rookery Rebel, has each-way claims.

It could pay to side with SPRING LANE on his racecourse debut. Trained by Gordon Elliott, he is sure to know his job and his half-brother, Shinrock Paddy, won twice in this sphere before going on to claim four hurdle prizes, including one at Grade 1 level. Mount Colah has yet to finish out of the 'three' in four public appearances and should be in there pitching again, while Leish Oscar is worthy of consideration after her promising Down Royal third early last month.
