Verdict

Mostly moderate horses will go to post for this race. ROGUE RUNNER showed improved form in his first run for the Alan Greeff yard and clearly has a winning chance. He does however try this surface for the first time. WEST RAND showed nice improvement in his first run for trainer Sham and must be considered. ANTON RUSKIN has proven to be a disappointment but is not out of it.

A very open looking contest. GALOA is likely to be favourite but he has not won for some time. DREAM FOREST is holding his form but is sometimes too far out of his ground early on and those tactics don't work on the Polytrack. GOGETTHESHERIFF loves this surface and did well to win on the turf last time so he is clearly the one to beat in this line-up. JET EXPLORER has beaten him in the past so looks the main threat. The rider of KINGVODT clearly went too soon last time and he was a most unlucky loser. He is not completely out of it. AFRIKABURN has not really re-captured his early glory days.
