FLY lost her unbeaten record when third here last month but she is entitled to improve for that initial outing, still appeals as being fairly treated off her current mark and has George Wood claiming a welcome 5lb off her back. Zodiakos could improve for a drop in class having been tried in better company throughout the season, while Cloudberry is open to any amount of improvement having won a maiden at Bath in June.

BAY OF POETS was arguably disappointing on his debut at Haydock but it may just be the case that he didn't handle the ground having travelled up smartly before weakening tamely inside the final furlong. The son of Lope De Vega should have learnt plenty for the experience and can get off the mark for trainer Charlie Appleby, who is having a good season with his two-year-olds. Melodic Motion is a half-sister to dual Group 2 winner Here Comes When and should give a decent account on debut, while Election Day improved from his first start at Ayr last time and should appreciate the extra furlong here.

Saeed bin Suroor has been notably quiet over the last couple of weeks due to a virus in his yard but now the stable is beginning to have runners again and DUBAI ONE is an interestingly-bred son of Exceed And Excel, being a half-brother to decent stayer Prize Money, but should have enough speed to cope with this test. Etikaal is out of a half-sister to Group 3-winning sprinter Aeolus and is entitled to improve for the experience, while Hathfa ran a solid race last time in what looks a strong maiden at Newbury and shouldn't be too far away.

The weaker division of the two maidens where BELIEVABLE can put the experience gained in two outings to good use. Sir Michael Stoute's filly was well regarded before her debut when sent off favourite for a warm maiden but failed to build on that at Chelmsford last time. She is entitled to be forgiven that effort and may well improve for this switch in surface. The Secret's Out contested a warm maiden at Glorious Goodwood and should find this weaker contest to his liking, while 55,000gns purchase Warm Words looks best of the remainder.

NASIMI was most recently seen competing in a Grade 3 at Ascot in July behind the likes of Fair Eva and takes a big drop in class on her debut on a surface that should suit. The daughter of Shamardal is related to some useful winners and it is no surprise to see her at 7f now given her pedigree. Syndicate was best of the newcomers at Newbury in a typically-strong maiden at that venue and is likely to have come on plenty for that experience, while Soul Silver looks best of the remainder.

LORD GEORGE has a perfect profile for an event such as this and James Fanshawe's charge could be well handicapped off a mark of 89. The only three-year-old in the field, he sits at the bottom of the weights for a trainer with a good record at this course and with Sennockian Star involved, a generous pace should be set to allow him a chance to thunder home in the closing stages. Power Game knows his way around here having won twice at Kempton last year, while Blue Surf also enters calculations.

KRISTJANO can be considered unlucky not to have shed his maiden tag yet and deserves another chance now at this venue for the first time. The four-year-old is ably assisted by George Baker for just the second time and could yet defy this mark after only going up 2lb. Atalanta Bay has a good draw and remains in excellent form on all-weather surfaces, while Rainbow Pride remains capable of better and does have a hood applied, but he doesn't look straightforward and might need to drop a few more pounds before winning again.

FOR AYMAN won readily from a wide draw at this venue last month and could defy an 8lb rise to go in once more. He remains 1lb below his highest ever winning mark and now drawn in stall one, his claims look far more pressing than that of Helfire. The latter also won last time out but didn't shape as though a drop back to 6f would suit, while Curious Fox won't find life easy up in class to go alongside her 6lb rise.
