Storm Dennis shed the maiden tag in commanding style last time out and the Chris Gordon-trained five-year-old merits plenty of respect on hurdling debut. Preference, however, is for NICKLE BACK, who found an improving six-year-old too strong on his sole start over obstacles to date. The pair pulled 34 lengths clear of the third that day, and he gets the nod to get off the mark after a lengthy absence. Nelsons Rock is another to consider.

In this competitive affair it may pay dividends to side with RARE CLOUDS. The seven-year-old is lightly raced and, considering he has run well after a break previously, he gets the nod to land the spoils. Invincible Cave is an intriguing contender on his return to hurdling and the Cynthia Woods-trained gelding demands respect. No Drama ran a gallant race when second last time and is worth considering.

HELFORD RIVER got off to a winning start over the larger obstacles last time out and the Colin Tizzard-trained seven-year-old looks poised to follow up. The son of Presenting rates the one to beat, while Finistere may have the ability to mount a challenge on his chasing debut. College Oak needs to be on song after a break but still merits consideration.

MAASAI WARRIOR won twice in the space of 10 days at Chepstow and Hexham in March before struggling to land a blow on his latest outing at Southwell. That clearly wasn't his true running and the six-year-old is capable of better returning from a break. Air Hair Lair has been in decent form and is respected, along with Galtee Mountain, who makes his chasing debut.

VORASHANN's best form over hurdles has come here, winning two of his three visits, and the five-year-old attempts to back up his victory at this track last month. The step up in trip, along with a 2lb rise, is unlikely to pose any problems and he can prove too strong for the opposition. Press Your Luck displayed a fair amount of promise last season and he is one to note, along with Mr One More.

Marracudja looks to have been found a good opportunity to capitalise on a low mark and is likely to be on the premises, now returning from a short break. However, a chance is taken on ITACARE to make a winning stable debut for David Pipe. The four-year-old looks to have been given a fair mark based on his French form and receives a handy weight-for-age allowance. Darebin could be dangerous if getting an easy lead.

Pixie Loc made a pleasing start to her racing career when scoring over C&D but she might find things tougher now carrying a penalty. PADDY HUSSEYS TAXI shaped with promise when posting a fourth-placed effort at Stratford and gets the vote to build on that performance here. Reinator is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Terrefort and is one to note for any market support on his racecourse debut, while Sami Bear and Spike Jones are also considered.
