SUN KING looked like he would improve plenty from the experience of his first run at Galway and may be able to take a nice step forward now. The Galileo colt was on and off the bridle for most of the race first time but made up a fair bit of ground turning for home having come under pressure three furlongs out. Fiach McHugh is an obvious contender having been placed on his last two runs. The Andy Slattery-trained colt was just denied by a head by another Ballydoyle colt, in Aikhal, at Listowel last week. He kept on well to the line then and stepping up a furlong may help him now. Market moves for the Paddy Twomey-trained newcomer Show Of Stars would be interesting. The Showcasing filly cost £100,000 as a yearling and holds an entry in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

SO FASCINATING stayed on nicely when fifth on her return at Roscommon in late August and looks up to a winning a race of this standard if stepping forward a bit from that run. The Fascinating Rock filly was finishing off strongly behind Harannda and stepping up another furlong should be a help now. It doesn't look a particularly strong race with My Minervina top-rated of those with current marks in the field off a rating of 70. She was mid-division in handicap company at Listowel last week and is entitled to be thereabouts in this company. San Aer ran off 73 when last seen in a Curragh handicap in August but doesn't appear to have a current published rating. He could be given a chance on the pick of his form and Colin Keane is an eye-catching booking.

SUPREME MACHINE ran really well in a first time visor at the Curragh last time and with blinkers back on now can collect. She met trouble in running a couple of times before finishing third to the in-form Miss Florentine. Off just a 2lb higher mark there looks to be another race in the Mehmas filly. Ten Ten Twenty obviously commands respect coming here in search of a hat-trick. John Murphy's charge was a good winner at Cork, over seven furlongs, in August but has to shoulder another 9lb now which makes life a bit more difficult. Nana Patsy disappointed when sent off favourite at Bellewstown on Thursday and it remains to be seen if she will turn out again quickly.

HIGH ALTITUDE loves it around here and can gain a fifth course and distance win. The Papal Bull gelding has had a little break since three solid runs in July, the most recent one when chasing home Dedillon at Galway. His most recent win here came off a 7lb higher mark than he has at the moment. Swiss Army Officer ran well at Listowel last week and could be a big player again off just a 2lb higher mark. The six-year-old is also a course and distance winner having won at the July meeting this year. Stylistic Approach prevailed in a tight enough finish at Cork four days ago and looks to have plenty of weight now for a three-year-old, carrying a 6lb penalty.

STAR IMAGE has run really well on her two most recent starts despite going to post big prices. She stayed on well when second to My Holy Fox at Punchestown last month and going a bit further now looks like it should suit. Jake Coen looks good value for the 7lb he can claim in this apprentice race. Sea Sessions drops back in trip after finishing fourth at Navan in late August and is only a pound higher now than when winning over ten furlongs at Fairyhouse back in July. She could be a danger. Powerful Aggie ran with credit in a couple of visits over to England in August and looks like she should be competitive off this mark despite carrying top-weight.

TRUCE stayed on well to be third over course and distance on yielding ground in July and was touched off at Galway over a furlong further last time. Joseph O'Brien's 72-rated filly can go one better. Stablemate Happywifehappylife was made favourite for that race at Galway after coming home first in a barrier trial and ran respectably to be fifth. She's open to improvement but has over eight lengths to find with the selection. Glinting was second in a similar standard of maiden at Limerick in June and, despite not being seen since, has to be respected on just her third career start. Couer Battant reversed Curragh form with Magic Word when fourth at Roscommon and, being out of a mare by Pivotal, might be able to handle easy ground.

CRASSUS was a maiden hurdle winner on heavy ground during the winter and has plenty of good placed efforts to his name on the Flat. He had Djasek back in third when runner-up at Navan in March and there was little wrong with his second to Dazzling Darren at Galway. The War Command gelding can make the breakthrough in this discipline under Colin Keane. Ivy Avenue has been admirably consistent since winning at Cork in the spring and was a winner on heavy ground at this venue last year. Lighthouse Lady is a long-standing maiden who reserves her best for this track and she has good place prospects, while Matilda With Me won a couple of times in the early part of the summer and could play a part if recapturing that form.
