Related to two siblings that won on debut themselves, SPIRIT CATCHER gets a tentative vote for the in-form Mark Johnston-team. The son of New Bay is likely to be well versed ahead of his racecourse bow and he is preferred to fellow debutant Moojdee, who warrants the utmost respect for a stable who has a terrific record around here. Of those with experience, C&D winner Reel Rosie leads the way, while Simply Gorgeous could be in the mix as well.

ALETHIOMETER looked to be value for more than the winning margin at Thirsk last month and a 3lb penalty for that success is offset by Billy Garritty's claim here. Michael Dods' filly can follow up with Yarmouth fifth Australian Harbour looking best placed to chase her home granted normal improvement. If Maggie's Joy can repeat the form of her debut third at Ayr, she may also figure alongside Mariha.

C&D form can count for a lot around here and GIFT OF RAAJ showed his liking for the track with an emphatic success back in August. A winner at Musselburgh over further since, Roger Fell's charge can bounce back to winning ways. Former Grade 1-winning hurdler Cornerstone Lad a big danger on his first run since February, while proven stayer September Power is another to consider, as well as Norman Kindu, who is only 3lb above his last winning mark and performed creditably on his latest outing.

CHIPOTLE has struggled to make an impact in Group contests on his last couple of outings and the drop in class, along with the step up to 6f, could see the Royal Ascot winner bounce back to form. Vintage Clarets may have been inconvenienced by racing away from the main action at Ayr last time and he is capable of a decent showing. Symphony Perfect has run with credit in a couple of sales races, while others to consider include Last Crusader and Mojomaker.

RHOSCOLYN paid the price for racing too freely when fourth at Sandown last month and the drop back to 7f could see the son of Territories return to winning ways for the first time since Epsom in June. Motakhayyel boasts a high rating for his Bunbury Cup success at Newmarket in July, but he is expected to be competitive down in class following his effort in the Hungerford at Newbury. Safe Voyage and Oh This Is Us are feared most of the remainder.

SCOTTISH SUMMIT has enjoyed a consistent summer without getting his head in front and the eight-year-old can gain due compensation for his latest second at Doncaster when just denied in the final strides. Copper And Five won over C&D on his most recent start and he is likely to enter the reckoning off a 3lb higher mark, while Delgrey Boy, Sucellus and A Boy Named Ivy all command a fair amount of respect.

SAGAUTEUR hasn't had the rub of the green on his last two outings and, on his return from a short break, the five-year-old is tipped to register the third win of his career. Carey Street overcame some trouble in running when winning at Beverley last month and looks a danger, while Broctune Red won with authority at the same track on his latest start and is also worth considering.

GOOD LUCK FOX produced his best effort for this yard when runner-up at Musselburgh last month and gets the vote as he bids to notch his third win of the year. Tar Heel showed more promise on his second start for this yard at Ripon last time and may be capable of stepping up again, while Thrilla In Manila was never headed when winning at Ayr on his latest start and also looks set to make a bold bid.
