Goldie's Baby showed signs of a return to form with a pleasing display at Arlington, gaining her revenge on Lookatthoselegs in the process. Expedite It has looked in fine fettle at present, but has found SPANNING too good on his last two starts and may do again. Gregory Geier's 3-y-o has yet to get her head in front this year, but has been running with credit and may notch her first win of 2005 here.

Thanksforthetune made a pleasing enough debut, but has obviously had problems since as he has not been seen for 18 months, although he could be capable of challenging. Souper Spirit has shown signs of ability, but is capable of running very poor races as well, so a chance is taken on MICK'S REAL THRILL. Though Mickey Goldfine's gelding has yet to make the frame in seven attempts, he showed plenty of speed last time and put in a very sharp workout last week.

Top Row is capable and will no doubt bid for the early lead, but that may set the race up for the fast-finishing MR MISSISSIPPI, providing he still retains some of his old zest. Jon Cowan's gelding hasn't been seen since finishing second in a stakes race in 2003, but if he can get anywhere near his best form, he should be good enough. Wheaty chased home Top Row on his last start and may be capable of another challenge.

Bluesbdancing looks a specialist at this trip, and has very strong claims from the rail post, but PASS THE PEPPER may have too much ammunition for her. A dual winner here in April, Thomas Tomillo's mare has lost none of her form over at Arlington, and may be happier back on the main track after finishing third on the turf last time. Sparkling Sabia beat the selection over half a furlong shorter, but was put in her place emphatically last time and will have to improve to score here.

Maya Jambalaya showed some signs of ability on her debut, and may go close if progressing from that effort, while Smarty Pants Girl looked a winner in waiting when second on her penultimate start, but disappointed last time. ALASKAN HULA could never mount a challenge from five-wide on the bend last time, and if she can repeat the efforts of her penultimate start, could be tough to beat.

MISS SWEET TIME has been on the premises in her last few races and today could be the day she gets her head back in front. Run For The Win could find some improvement as she returns to a longer distance, while Sara's Shadow finished second in a similar race latest and could get involved at the business end.

Galatea Cat and UNBRIDLED'S EVIE are a strong entry from Jerry Gryczewski's barn, with the latter making more appeal following her win at Arlington Aug 5. Perenial Favourite is a danger as she drops in class, while Western Mindy will appreciate moving up a furlong after being unable to keep pace over 5f behind Paul's Dream and Galatea Cat latest.

A open race, but LOVELY BONITA notched her fifth success at the distance when taking her tally at Hawthorne to two wins from three starts Aug 28. She's worth taking a chance on. Ma Come Pretendi also won her latest start, at Fairplex, and is respected, along with Wildcata, who has made the frame in her last three outings, winning once.

PURELY CLASSIC aims to land a hat trick following a brace of wins at Arlington and could be the safest bet. He has the best turf speed among this lot, though his current form is good enough to secure the lion's share. Delafield missed his hat trick when third latest, but cannot be overlooked, while Tis Magical beat Pat The Winner over a mile at Arlington Sep 6 and could confirm the form.
