Anticipating made a winning start to his hurdling career when just holding on at Plumpton last month and there is every chance that Gary Moore's charge could have more to offer. However, MISTER MUSTARD has proven himself a reasonable sort over timber (failed to make the frame on just five occasions in seventeen starts) and although without a run since May, when falling at Wetherby, the booking of champion jockey Tony McCoy, who has an excellent strike rate for the yard, suggests that a winning return is on the cards. Smart Boy Prince is best of the remainder.

Most of these would be written off if the field were not so poor but there has to be a winner and it looks more than likely to be one of the top two. Martin Pipe lowers the sights with Nick The Silver and although well beaten on his most recent runs, he did show some form at this level earlier in the year. SHEER GUTS was a long way back last time but his two previous efforts, an 8 length win and a third place, are the pick of recent form and he gets the nod.

WINSLEY entertained decent company over hurdles, his best effort when second in a Listed contest last term, and ran creditably when trying fences for the first time in April. He will know more about the larger obstacles this time and the fact that both wins to date have come following a break is a bonus. Rookery Lad is yet to score over fences but the three time hurdles winner showed enough last term to make him of interest. Low Cloud arrives in decent form and is worth noting along with True Mariner.

After a couple of sound efforts, including a win, in stronger races in Ireland, Hi Laurie has to be on the short-list as she has her first start in this country. Recent winner Honan is another to consider along with the dropped in class Bronco Charlie who is lightly-raced and has shown ability. Preference though is for MURPHY'S NAILS after he has done well in some better races of late. The horse behind him in third last time was a good yardstick in this company so a similar run may suffice here.

Epson Handicap Chase

PANGERAN has tried his luck in slightly better races of late and although well beaten has managed to make the frame. He won his last outing at this level though and looks the answer to a moderate contest. Cyindien is a long standing maiden but could have a say in this while Make It Easy isn't without claims either. Taksina is a solid each-way selection and Sissinghurst Storm warrants respect.

BRIGADIER BENSON has some decent form from earlier in the year and is sure to have benefitted from a run at Uttoxeter last month. He should have more to offer here and looks the strongest option. Romany Dream has been running with some credit in defeat and could have a say while The Gangerman and New Time can also feature if fully wound up following breaks.
